you ever think about how the ending of homestuck was about escaping the narrative and letting the characters choose for themselves how they wanted to live and how it was deliberately open ended because of that and we were all supposed to interpret what would happen next through our own understanding and connection to the story

and people got really mad that it was so open ended

so hussie made the epilogues and precision engineered them in a lab to piss literally everyone off

and people went "fuck you andrew hussie! im gonna interpret my OWN post canon!"

I was never into any part of superwholock but I can't even say that like it's a badge of honor bc it wasn't for any good reason. I watched a few episodes of Sherlock and dismissed it with deep 14-year-old scorn NOT because I recognized it as queerbaity or badly written but because I was like "Terezi is so much cooler than any of this." Literally any popular media for me as a teenager fell short of Homestuck and thus the pyrrhic victory of avoiding three deeply cringy early 2010s fandoms in favor of the one biggest loudest and cringiest. god. maybe it's because I already knew I was gay and so Supernatural didn't speak to me. Any white manpain ship that was presented to me got compared to vrisrezi and thrown out in shame. no Doctor Who space dramatics could outweigh in my esteem any given ten-minute MS Paint flash made by some skinny programmer on his laptop somewhere in Massachusetts. My taste was so obnoxious it circled around to being good again. like some sick game. The Almighty is a six-year-old girl obsessed with death and I am a Polly Pocket
