Lastig om op het eerste oog te zien dat deze avontuurlijke motorsscooter geheel vernieuwd is. Zet je de 2019 en 2021 versies naast elkaar dan is het toch wel duidelijk. De nieuwe X-ADV heeft een wat strakker uiterlijk gekregen, meerdere kappen hebben een andere vorm gekregen en het nieuwe zadel moet zorgen dat je gemakkelijker kunt afstappen. Aangezien deze adventure scooter hetzelfde motorblok heeft als de Honda NC750 is er op motorisch gebied ook veel verbetering aangebracht.

Ook het frame is aangepast wat een kilo gewicht bespaart en wat ook de opbergruimte onder het zadel groter maakt, waar nu een UBS aansluiting zit zoals bij alle nieuwe Honda modellen. De koplamp heeft nu meer gelijkenis met de CRF1100L Africa Twin gekregen mede door de Daytime Running Lights. Ook makkelijk is een extra handschoenkastje. Het nieuwe TFT-instrumentenbord is uitgerust met het Honda Smartphone Voice Control System.

De X-ADV zal in 2021 beschikbaar zijn in deze kleurstellingen: Grand Prix Red (nieuw), Graphite Black, Matt Beta Silver Metallic Pearl Mud Gray.
