“Jesus, Ash, you knew that this was what getting your eyes dilated meant, right? You’re so lucky I wasn’t doing anything today. Are you, like, okay? Please say yes so I can make fun of you for needing glasses.”
Snorting, Victoria glanced over at the girl in her passenger seat before refocusing on the road. Ashley had called her in a panic, apparently not realizing that getting her eyes dilated would mean she’d be essentially blind the rest of the day. She almost felt bad for Ashley, knowing how scared she must have been. Victoria pulled into the Blackwell parking lot, turning to the girl. “Stay put, I’ll help you out.”
Coming around to the passenger side, Victoria guided her out carefully and led her toward the dorm, barking at anyone in their way to move “or else.”

Chris attempts to move his head to the side, but Ash keeps him in place with a firm hand under his chin and an equally firm look. So he pouts and slouches, obliging with a huff.
When she’s done, she steps back, grinning.
“Do I look good?”
“Yeah.”
He kisses her forehead. “Thanks.”

Ash asks before reaching to remove the beanie; Beth stops her and takes it off herself.
“Work your magic, then, Ash-Bash.”
She keeps still enough as Ash places the flower crown -- tulips and daisies and a single daffodil serving as the primary ‘jewel’ -- and fiddles with it, making sure it looks presentable.
