from 2021 or so i think. the prophecy is true
the lightning hope parental-sibling (not ship, fuck off) dynamic is so insane. Light leaps at the first opportunity to do over her entire life with serah. to include someone in her world and let them feel valuable and seen. and she still fucks it up, hard. so when she gets hope back in palumpolum it's her third do over and she's very aware of that, and she's thankful. she's happy to do it. I think it's notable that Hope doesn't hug her back. of course it's bc he's 14, but his relationship to parental figures and authority is so strained he can't even embrace someone he looks up to showing him, for a split second, unconditional affection. for him parental affection from a sort of father figure is rarely given for free. I wonder if he even thinks he deserves it, like when he speaks to his dad *later in the chapter, who sternly but unequivocally supports him as his son. that might've been the first time he'd ever spoken that way to hope. (only took the end of the world lol) Snow gives him affection, he carries him without really even being pressed bc he's just that kinda guy, his mom obviously loves him very vocally and unconditionally. I think Lightning and hope's dad's actions also parallel each other very nicely in that way. Hope comes to apologize and they both say no. forget that. you're my kid.
i like drawing fat ppl bc i am fat ppl and also find fat ppl attractive but my real, secret mo is that i want fat ppl in media who are cool. straight up.
subconsciously or consciously some ppl just think visuals work better if the characters are skinny. it feels like they think fat ppl cant look stylish in highly posed compositions or in action sequences. i loathe that idea.
white ppl on this app love to say stupid shit and then try and wiggle out of the consequences of saying stupid shit. as if 90% of the time they don't act like everything that comes out of their mouths is beautiful unarguable Critical Theory. and even this is hard to talk abt bc this place is so white that even their detractors are all white so the actual arguments that matter never make headway into the conversation. and i see this on a larger scale when ppl get "called out" and whatever and their years of beligerant racism are just thrown under the rug bc the white ppl hunting them down are too "uneducated" or "uncomfortable" to ever bring it up themselves. leaving the onus on people of color. which is a really great feeling ive got to tell you. that u as the minority have to be the one to step into an internet shitstorm just to point out things that are blatantly obvious. am i coherent right now. its fucking early sorry.
