Inizialmente avevo in mente di occuparmi di quelle opere d’arte che mostrano la vita di tutti i giorni, quella poco spettacolare con ciccioni davanti al monitor di un pc o casalinghe che passano l’aspirapolvere. Purtroppo non ce ne sono moltissime o, se ce ne sono, io non son capace di trovarle facilmente. Cosa fare allora? Un rapido cambio di nome ed ecco la nuova rubrica che si occupa dell’arte…

Wow, my wife just showed me this exhibition. This is Li Hongbo’s exhibit called, Tools of Study. Amazing stuff. He basically recreates porcelain masterpieces with thousands of layers of paper. The final piece is comprised of thousands of glued layers of paper, which he then applies to a honeycomb-like structure, which creates these flexible sculptures. How cool is that?!
Li Hongbo's flexible paper sculptures are a work of beauty. And totally surreal.
