After a long day of assignments and studying, you and Hongwon finally had the time to get together at his apartment. Both of you were busy during the day, him making music while you were too busy in school.

You’re a second year university student studying in Seoul National University. You had a fair share in life struggles, too. Having been bullied in high school made your confidence and self-esteem go way downhill. But thankfully, you made friends in uni that helped you love yourself. One of your friends was Seryeong, who was also part of the Dickids crew. You and Hongwon met through him. No one expected both of you to be together since you were polar opposites. You were a grade-conscious student who loved studying alone in her dorm while Hongwon liked hanging out with his friends, drinking, smoking, and making music. Even your parents disapproved at first. But when they saw how Hongwon loved you so much, they slowly accepted that you and him were just inseparable.

You and Hongwon are now inside his apartment, cuddled up on his couch inside a blanket as he and you decided to have a movie marathon. But knowing how Hongwon easily gets bored, you knew he’d easily fall asleep, which he’s doing right now. You were enjoying the movie, while he was already sound asleep, resting his head on your chest like a baby, arms wrapped around your waist.

A few more minutes later, Hongwon started to wake up. However, you didn’t notice this as you were too focused on the movie. He took this time to admire your features, thinking to himself how lucky he was to have you. You were his calm despite the storm. He found rest whenever he was with you. Bad boy rapper Yang Hongwon gets lost whenever he’s with you. However, the soft, caring Yang Hongwon is always there whenever you are together. He was an absolute gentleman to you, yet only a few know this since his on-stage persona was way different.

You then realized he was staring at you, so you looked at him and he smiled, saying ‘hi’.

“When did you wake up?” You asked, now focused on him. He shrugged, “not too long, two minutes maybe?” he said, fixing your hair that was covering some of your face. He then sat properly and clinged to you, still wanting to feel your warmth and smell your nice fragrance. He kissed your neck, then your jaw, your cheek, until his lips are now locked with yours. With this, you slowly started making out, making you straddle in his lap. He then inserted one of his hands inside his hoodie that you were wearing, feeling your bare hips and pulling you closer to him to deepen the kiss. He then started giggling while you were making out, making you stop and look at him.

“Why’re you giggling?” You asked, confused. He smiled at you, hugging you and kissing every inch of your face.

“I just realized that I’ve been making out, cuddling, and have been together with my crush for a year now.” Hearing this made your heart melt. You smile and kiss him, cuddling him more and holding him tighter.

“I love you, Hongwon.”

“I love you too, baby.”

[2:14am] the cold breeze hits you, making you hug yourself as you felt cold. hongwon noticed as he removed his jacket and draped it around you. moments like this with him walking by your side with hands intertwined together was your favourite thing to do. at a time where most alleyways and streets were almost empty calms you down for some reason.

you turned to your side and observed hongwon. you met him through hamin as he visited you on your work with him. he was shy at first, didn’t fully open up to you right away, thinking you'll also hate him because of his controversies. eventually you two became close. you would drink with him until the sun begins to rise and he'd be your go-to person when life decides to play with you.

feelings got involved between you after a year. but it stayed complicated for a while. neither you and hongwon brought the topic, deciding to let the words hang in the air as you enjoyed each other’s presence. the two of you continued to act like neither of you was falling for the other. it wasn’t until a drunken hongwon came knocking on your door at 3am confessing his love for you but his past kept him from telling you sooner. you deserved better, he thought. someone who’s not messed up.

instead of answering, you pressed your lips against his. hongwon immediately caught on you as he wrapped his arms around you. the two of you stumbling down to your room, clothes being discarded on the way. from then on, he treated you like no one else did. everyday you’d received random notes from him complimenting you and sometimes a flower would get delivered to you at work. friday nights would be your party night as the two of you would drink and slow dance to some love songs in his living room at the crack of dawn.

as time goes by, you were completely in love with him. you didn’t care about the comments thrown on your relationship when hongwon started to show you off and bring you along with him in his gigs. with you, he was happy. you were his breathe of fresh air when he gets too pressured with his career.

“what’re you looking at?” hongwon chuckles, his voice pulled you out of your thoughts. “i'm that handsome huh?” the two of you stopped in the middle of the street as he fully turned and faced you, squishing your cheeks. you giggled as you wrapped your arms around him, “i'm so lucky to have you,” you kissed his lips. he cradled your face, tucking a stray hair behind your ear, “i should be the one telling you that,” another kiss, “no,” you kissed him again as the two of you argue with one another.

anyone who would still be out at this time and catch the two of you being all lovey dovey in the open would probably think of you as hormonal young adults but you don't care anyway. you were with the love of your life, and nothing matters more than that.
