During a recent walk through Denver's urban parks, I stumbled upon a truly extraordinary sight—a family of exotic ducks with their adorable ducklings. These unique ducks, possibly Hooded Mergansers, were navigating the waterways, showcasing their beautiful crests and playful nature. 🌿

Urban parks often hide incredible wildlife treasures, and this encounter was a perfect reminder of the biodiversity thriving in our cities. Watching the ducklings dive and explore their surroundings was a delightful experience, highlighting the importance of preserving these urban habitats. 🌸

Diving Ducks

I saw a few divers today, from top to bottom: a common goldeneye, a raft of redheads, a bufflehead, and hooded mergansers. The final image shows two males (with different amounts of spread on their crests) and one female.
