To me one of the most impressive lures that FishLab came out with. The way it rolls, the choice of single hooks, the way it’s weighted to be casted far. I love everything about this lure. The Hooker Stick Bait. If I was to design a distance casting lure that can be trolled with as well, this is the one! For the first time I didn’t have to replace anything. The stock hooks and rings are top quality. So for those worried about the final price, I’m sure you can see why I’m so happy and proud to have these. The Hooker Stickbait Lures by FishLab. By far my favorite casting lure! I love the double single hook design. The hooks are by Owner. One of the few lures out there that you DON’T have to replace because it’s weak or thin wired. The only lure that comes close is the old Williamson Lures. Close but no cigar. Of all my surface lures this one is my absolute fav! The weight & color/pattern of this Hooker Stick Bait is perfect for me. I even had a huge Hinalea commit harakiri attacking this lure. Hooker Stick Baits by FishLab. These are my favs! The weight is perfect and I prefer the rolling action of the sub surface lures. Plus I like the single hooks. Less chance of getting hurt. Reminds me of the old Williamson Lures. I still have a box of those oldies in storage. Recently I’ve noticed products are flowing much better than last year. This is the Ballyhoo by FishLab. A slow sinking 4-1/4in 2-1/3oz stick bait. I really like that green color! One of five of the smaller size. The single inlines are 4/0 Owners with HD split rings. The Mackerel Stick Bait by FishLab. 4-1/4in. 2-1/3oz. Sub surface slightly negative. Incorporates 2 Owner 4/0 single hooks with HD split rings. The larger sizes uses 2/0 Owner treble hooks. Feels good popping on my 9-1/2’ Rockaway HD rated up to 6oz. Through wire construction gives it rigid strength. I almost always have to purchase HD hooks & split rings after I make a popping lure purchase as the originals aren’t beefy enough. These are!
