@dynadubwool liked for a starter!
Milo felt like at this point he would be able to hear a Wooloo bleating even if it was across a packed stadium. One might have thought the sound would become like background noise to the farmer, but when it was out of place it was out of place– and this wasn’t an exception. His reaction probably seemed a bit strange to anyone watching; it was as if he’d been caught around the neck, and the rest of him didn’t catch on as quick.
He turned and started to scan the area, spotting a round white creature across the street. Milo didn’t notice its trainer right away because frankly it didn’t matter who it was to him- he’d already gathered that Pokemon were very uncommon in this city, so anyone who might be from the same place (world?) was going to be alright by him. So Milo was only further surprised upon crossing the street and finding it was someone he actually knew that accompanied the Wooloo.
“Hop,” he said, obviously surprised- but obviously relieved as well. Milo was bad at hiding his expressions. “What a coincidence running into you here.” His smile faded into a more confused expression- brows furrowed and all. The boy seemed less lost than Milo did himself. “I don’t suppose you know anything about... all this,”
