“I don’t see any monster lines…. not a single one.”
@hopeturned // sc -- for Luke
After a chance encounter with his oldest, dearest friend, the Doctor found himself somewhat out of sorts--he knew, logically, that no one could function solely independently, and yet he also preferred it over having to explain himself to others.
Besides, he was fully capable of investigating things on his own.
The TARDIS had brought him to an abandoned factory, empty conveyors and cracked walls, early twenty-first century Earth. His base, now.
He had climbed a catwalk above the main workroom in search of a better viewpoint--slinking through the dark, not stopping to look behind him, long limbs bumping into things as he went. Two long beeps in his ear and he breathed a curse.
Then he spotted movement on the factory floor and stood. "Hey! You, down there! Don't move!" He hastened to meet them.

Staying ten steps ahead of everyone else was, to say the least, exhausting at times--Missy was on her seventh ginger candy of the day, the sharp pulsing in her temple having faded into a dull ache, her limbs heavy and thoughts lost in treacle.
"Hello?" she asked in a sing-song. The area was--mostly--empty, save for a few rats scuttling about here and there. "Anybody home?"

Bea, your aesthetic is just beautiful. I wish I had half your talent in making graphics, but alas I don't. I adore yours, though. And I feel like all your blogs have a distinct identity, partially because of the aesthetics. Love that for you! <3

"May I be of assistance, citizen?" Murphy inquires, mostly to alert them to his presence, even if he's a little difficult to miss.

"Well, um, I'm lost, but I'm not... um... Hm." Ellie wonders how to approach her problem without sounding crazy.
Take it slow. He's cranky because she didn't say it right. "Look," she says, "I'm fine. I have a first aid kit and a water bottle. Do you wanna sit down? I can patch you up."
@hopeturned
"Oh my ghoul! Are you alright? I'm sorry! I didn't expect for someone to just show up like that!" Unfortunately, getting hit face first with a blast of witchcraft probably didn't feel so good.
👊 (lbr it would be funny as hell if all star! Batman’s first introduction to another universe is getting beaten up!)
Send me ‘ 👊 ‘ for my muse’s reaction to seeing yours being beaten up
"I don't believe what I'm seeing! Nobody kills the Dark Knight but me!" Edward cries, staring down from the balcony where he's watching things go down. He really can't believe his eyes. Batman, his dauntless adversary and arch nemesis was losing a fight. It's not even a great fight, not like how it would have been had it been against him, the Riddler! Instead Scarface's men had somehow gotten the drop on the vigilante, slowly but surely wearing him down with how little room there was left in the alleyway, their numbers giving them a decidedly unfair advantage against their foe. Edward grits his teeth. No no no, this wasn't how it was supposed to go! Batman ought to be losing against him, Edward Nigma, not the thugs of some cheap wooden dummy! He winces as another crack can be heard - Batman's fist slams wonderfully against one of the men's jaws, and Ed decides it's now or never. A second crack is heard, one combined with a dazzling display of flashing lights and smoke as Edward tosses one of his handmade gadgets over the balcony. It's a type of flashbomb combined with a smoke grenade, a harmless but intimidating contraption to those who aren't expecting it. It works too, men scattering in the confusion as both lights and smoke rage, not noticing the shadow slipping away in the middle of all the chaos... But Edward notices, clambering up the fire escape route in hot pursuit of the bat. Up, up towards the rooftop he goes, the sound of men yelling below fading as they realize they've just lost their quarry and have to report back to Scarface empty-handed. "There you are! No need to thank me, Detective! Although, that would be nice after the trick I just pulled! Couldn't let that bunch of no-name knuckleheads take all the glory now, can I?" Edward chuckles as he hauls himself up onto the roof, pausing when he sees the darkness move.
There was something a little... off about Batman. Something he couldn't quite put his finger on but regardless Edward shrugs it off, acting as though he'd just rescued his arch nemesis from a dragon.
