“Why don’t you ask him if you still don’t believe me?”
That MONSTER’s words still ringed throughout his ears, almost in disbelief. Hiran had only wanted a sense of peace, to return the favor for the injuries caused upon his mother ( he couldn’t lose her, not after the sudden death of his father ). He shook his head, all thoughts racing while that sweet voice inside his mind whispered,
Hector is the sun; but even the sun can burn.
There was only one way to seek the truth, to hear it from the mouth of someone he trusted. It seemed almost ridiculous, to fall victim of something that could have easily been a lie ( in which case, there wouldn’t be anything to worry about . . . right? ). The Montague Captain found himself walking down a familiar path, one that seemed like home. Up the stairs to an apartment that he visited frequently, to the occupant that wasn’t supposed to -- hurt him.
NO, how could he? Hiran knew Hector, he knew his best friend. Even if his knuckles banged harshly against the front door, completely uncharacteristic of how he usually entered. There was a slight desperation, as if the truth couldn’t come any sooner ( as if the fogginess of his mind craved to be lifted ).
“ -- Hector, open up, now. Please.”
