I think HG Wells is in love with Myka. Geez, that’s not a sentence I ever expected to type. But it’s true. I met HG about two weeks ago, not long after the whole Artie-fiasco, and I swear every time she looks at Myka she looks like she’s about to cry. Granted, she’s got a pretty good poker face when she knows someone is watching, but the rest of the time she just looks so sad. And I don’t know her very well, but from what Claudia has told me, she doesn’t talk about herself much unless it’s (probably false) bravado about her inventions and her life in London. In the 1800′s. Man my life has gotten weird. But anyways. I know their past is complicated, involving betrayals and life saving and confusion, but I’m pretty sure Myka is in love with her too. It’s different though. HG looks at Myka with a kind of melancholy affection, whereas Myka looks at HG with insecure hope. Okay, maybe I’ve been putting too much thought into this. But Myka is the one that brought me here, and I feel like I owe it to her to help out a little before I go. Pete and Myka are leaving in the morning on a ping, so maybe I’ll be able to talk to Helena tomorrow. I just hope I’m not crossing a boundary. They deserve to be happy, and I think they’ll find that in each other if they take that step. I’m just rambling at this point I guess. But I can’t stand to see Helena in that quiet agony if I can help it, so I’m going to try. I guess I’ll be back after to write about how it goes
