Music is an essential component to a good horror film. From Bernard Herrmann's iconic strings in Psycho to Halloween's simple yet frightening piano theme, it is safe to say that a lot of the reason why horror movies scare us so much is the music. But other than the musical scores, there is a special place in our hearts for songs and performers whose music gets played in, performed in, or created for a horror film.
