The category I will be exploring this month will be "PARANORMAL QUEEN". I would like to also thank @bonbonfaboo for this exciting invite!! The first PARANORMAL QUEEN I would like to acknowledge is Abra Stone (Kyliegh Curran) leading role from the horror film DOCTOR SLEEP. DOCTOR SLEEP is the sequel to THE SHINING.  Abra experiences night terrors which are actual prophetic visions. Abra's psycho kinetic abilities allow her to astral travel, dive into the mental libraries of others, and interact with individuals within the paranormal realm.  As you may have guessed it, Abra has the “ Shine”. I consider Abra as a paranormal queen due to her impeccable psychic abilities. Her psychic abilities are even stronger than Danny aka Doc.    Abra uses her powerful abilities to combat the True Knot energy vampires with Doc.  Abra Stone : You're magic. Like me Danny Torrance : You need to listen to me. The world's a hungry place. A dark place. I've only met two or three people like us. They died. When I was a kid, I bumped into these things. I don't know about magic. Well it's that time of year again. My #horrorsisters and #horrorbro are posting our favorite movies of the year, #horrorsistersfavoritemoviesof2021. My pick is #werewolveswithin. Here's a synopsis: residents in a small town are snowed in at a local inn. A newly arrived forest ranger and postal worker try to keep everyone calm as one by one they are picked off by a strange creature. This is one of the surprises of 2021. I horror movie with a lot of comedy. It keeps you guessing until the end. Hijinks ensue as Barry stumbles his way through a day of nailing/ impregnating chicks, saving lives, doing drugs, etc. It's 97 minutes of insanity and Gary Green is incredible as Barry. "2021" The year of hope, disaster, and reinvention.... I'm here to kick off #horrorsistersfavoritesof2021 with my top 5 favorite movies of the year. The Retreat snuck upon me, it does play as predictable in parts with the notable exception the leads are a lesbian couple in this film. Let me set the plot; Rene and Valarie like any other couple are having their share of couples drama with trying to make their relationship work. A weekend getaway at a cabin with friends, turns into a harrowing fight for survival. What did you expect from a cabin in the woods, right. Having only their ingenuity to rely on fighting a group of militant extremists Renee and Valarie dispose of the real monsters of our society, at times with a splendid amount of gore. The ending had me applauding. What harm can come from having an affair with your dead brother in-law and murdering unsuspecting random men who are looking for a hook up to feed your lover to restore him to life. I'm talking about Julia Cotton for my next #Horrorsisters31daysofHalloween2021 "They had it coming" some might consider Julia to be evil, she couldn't help herself she was what we call dick- matized. Frank was literally Evil Dick 😉 no amount of orgasms was worth this. Let me set the scene; thinking she and Frank can somehow live wickedly happily ever after escaping the cenobites with all the death she has served she falls victim to Frank's clutches. Julia trys to make a meal of her stepdaughter for Frank . Kristie outsmarts them both with a turn of you reap what you sow Frank has his way with Julia for the last time, draining the life from her. For my next offering "They had it coming" #Horrorsisters31daysofHalloween2021 we forge into my love horror t.v. with Dexter. Again so many characters to choose from; today I'm speaking on season 3 Dexter's friendship with Assistant District Attorney Miguel Prado. I had hope Dexter finally formed a partnership in kill-ship (see what I did there). Sadly a good thing comes to an end mostly due to Miguel being a manipulating narcissist. It quickly becomes which dark passenger can outsmart the other into falling into each other death trap. Tonight we spotlight Clovis The Attack Cat from Stephen King’s Sleepwalkers, released in 1992. According to the film’s intro, a Sleepwalker is a nomadic shape-shifting creature with human and feline origins. The Sleepwalker feeds on the life-force of virgin human females. Sleepwalkers are vulnerable to cat scratches, which can kill them. After leaving a slew of dead cats hanging in front of their home, as well as a mummified corpse of a girl drained of her life-force inside the residence, Sleepwalkers Charles and Mary Brady flee from California and make a new home for themselves in Indiana, looking for some more of that sweet sweet life-force. Charles sets his sights on the beautiful Tanya Robertson. All seems like smooth sailing, Tanya’s life-force is to be the next intended meal for Mary. One problem along the way though. After being confronted by and murdering his teacher, Charles zooms down the road in his Trans Am and catches the attention of Castle County Sheriff Andy Simpson and his four legged feline companion, Clovis The Attack Cat. Clovis knows what’s up. His ancestral beef with Sleepwalkers flows through generations in his bloodline. His primal nature kicks in, and Charles freaks. Sheriff Simpson trusts his cat’s instincts. He knows that there’s more to this driver than just a traffic violation. Unfortunately, he learns a little too late as he meets an untimely demise thanks to Charles when Tanya seeks help after being assaulted. But as Tanya is about to die at the hands of Charles, it’s Clovis to the rescue. Leaping, onto Charles, clawing and biting, digging into his shapeshifter flesh with all his might, saving Tanya’s life. When Mary seeks revenge for the attack on her son, it is Clovis once again to the rescue, accompanied this time with his feline homies. The relationship between Sheriff Simpson and Clovis is one you don’t see too often in horror movies.
