how many of these ppl are stans for solas
To be fair, I think the discomfort comes from the circumstances of his and the Inquisitor’s night together, before the reveal. Which...is tricky. I wouldn’t hold it against anyone for not liking it. My only defense--and I use the term loosely--is that Blackwall did keep trying to press away, and this can only happen if the Inquisitor keeps pursuing. Not to mention what reads to me as depression, and that he did whatever possible to relieve suspicion, sludged together with the fact that he’s a terrible liar.
Am I saying this makes it better? Absolutely not. But the Inquisitor I romanced him with was a former cutthroat in a fantasy mafia. I’ve never judged it against real world standards. I’m sorry I can’t account for these young pure-hearted Quizzies.
And personality wise I can at least stomach his admission over, “yes I lied but TO DO THE RIGHT THING, so really one lie is no big deal”.
I just can’t stand this sense of superiority because we only hold these characters to real world standards when it comes to the ones we dislike.
