21st at Sofitel Philippines

Last year, I celebrated my 20th birthday at the Sofitel Philippines as well. It was good to be back again. So much had happened as I grew a year older. Proud to say that I am a bit wiser than before. The experiences I encountered molded me to the person I am today.

In the age of 21, I learned that:

- some things are not meant for me - you can always start over - you only fail when you stop trying - nothing is impossible with hard work and God’s grace - learn to love an ever changing person

It was difficult to celebrate my birthday since I got class the very next day. Being in law school demanded most of my time and effort to be allotted to it. In fact, I was actually hesitant to unwind on my birthday but changed my mind as I realized that I just needed to manage my time well.

Sofitel Philippines was such a paradise. The view was superb in all aspects. Their location was truly well-chosen for those who want to enjoy the beauty of the Philippines while being in the city.

I love how comfortable and modern their furniture was. The stress was instantly wiped away! I wanted to spend most of the day lounging around but I had responsibilities.

South Korea’s 5 star Lotte Hotel Seoul had Molton Brown while Philippines’ 5 star Sofitel Hotel had Lanvin as their bathroom condiment. Totally hands down on Lanvin’s scent but the bathroom technology was definitely better in South Korea.

Finally put my Guess pajamas into good use!

Breakfast was nothing short of amazing in Sofitel. I wanted to take pictures of the food I was gobbling up but my hunger got the best of me.

Pan Pacific’s service was way better compared to Sofitel though. I was actually disappointed with Sofitel’s service. Not only they were slow but the quality of their room was utterly way below the standards of a 5 star review. I had to make 5 follow up calls before getting the chance to receive a response from their management.
