1977 #Stratocaster hardtail spotted at @folkwaymusic. This one comes in that oh-so-late-70s natural finish and those oh-so-late-70s black knobs/pickup covers on a black pickguard cosmetics. Also note that oh-so-late-80s mod of putting a #singlecoil-sized #humbucker into the bridge position! My own #Strat had a #SeymourDuncan #Hotrail in the late 80s lol. . Also, it's #Straturday trivia time: does anyone know why 70s Strat necks turn two different colours as they age? Many times you will see (as with this one) that the headstock face gets tinted more yellowish over time, while the rest of the neck stays more white/maple-y. You don't see this phenomenon prior to the 70s! What is going on?? Since my last post I've definitely started doing speed a lot more... just about everyday I'd have a line if not more. However I've been without speed as of a week tonight actually. Honestly withdrawals haven't been bad. The only reason I haven't had any is because I'm currently in NY visiting my aunt & cousins.
