An unexpected MTB encounter with a family of prickly pear cacti left me with an armful of thorns. Drs. Nugget and Hot Sauce responded immediately with eagle eyesight and laser focus. #hotsauceandthenug (at Boulder, Colorado)

Two years ago, a 6year old Hot Sauce was walking on this retaining wall in front of City Market when she fell off and broke her arm clean through just above her elbow. I watched it happen, and as a parent it's something I will never forget. I also watched her as she went through surgery, installation of hardware, a big cast, and removal of that hardware (which was done with pliers.) The courage that she gained from this experience is evident, and is something I think/hope she'll never forget. So now we have this tradition that every time we walk by the wall at City Market, she jumps up and walks it again. Without falling. #hotsauceandthenug (at City Market)
