Years of dealing with everything on his own, Sasuke struggled to accept the fact that he just wasn't quite strong enough to take out this newest threat. It wasn't until he had to limp into Konoha with a burn going almost all the way up his left side. Sakura had panicked about it, crying as she healed the damaged tissue. But he'd come back to the village because he knew that the woman could heal him and that there were only two people qualified to help him with this mission. Only one of which could actually take part in it. And then only if he agreed to it.
Which was why Sasuke found himself, after a night of rest at Sakura's house as she'd insisted on it after healing him, standing at the door to the sixth hokage's door. Drawing in a deep breath, he lifted his hand and knocked upon the door, hoping his nerves weren't obvious. Asking for help had never been a strong point for him, but Naruto had agreed that Kakashi would be well suited for this mission and that Sasuke needed the help. So here he was, ready to beg help on a mission that he still thought he should have dealt with himself.
