Connor cradled Alsoomse in his arms, kissing her cheeks delicately. "Life has been different for me since fate brought us together. I would have never imagined one would change it in such a positive manner, but truth be told, you have. In ways I could never fathom. And I thank the spirit in the sky each day for you." Alsoomse leaned her head against Connor’s shoulder, eyes closed and a smile gracing her lips. Her arms rested on top of his, and she felt like she was in absolute paradise. “Words cannot express the gratitude I feel for the Great Spirit. It was He who led me to you. I know it,” she whispered in turn, leaning in to each of his sweet kisses. “I love you, Ratonhnhaké:ton, and I always will.”

Connor approached Mary from behind, singing softly in her ear. "I'm trying not to let it show, that I don't want to let this go. Is there somewhere you can meet me?' Cause I clutched your arms like stairway railings. And you clutched my brain and eased my ailing."

A gentle smile graced her lips as Mary leaned back against her lover, feeling the gentle hum of his chest as he sang his quiet serenade. “You’re writing lines about me; romantic poetry.” She murmured the next line, letting out a small laugh.

As Connor looked at the large bonfire that was crackling, stray pieces of wood falling from it, he suddenly got visions of his mother on that fateful day.  It nearly sent him into shock as he stared harder ad harder at the blaze, until Sophie’s voice brought him back.

“Oh?”

She could clearly see the look of disdain and shock upon his face, and at this point, there was no hiding it.  But he didn’t want to overburden Sophie with his past trauma.  He always enjoyed her shy yet bubbly presence and he didn’t want to ruin that.

“I’m fine, Sophie..”

A lie, unfortunately.

It’s just so strange to her to see him so distressed. It’s foreign. There was probably a good reason for it too, but he couldn’t tell her. His words were lies, but the look he gave her yelled the truth. That was no challenge to figure it out; wearing a mask to reassure others that they’re okay, when really, they’re in constant pain. 

Sophie does this every day.

“Bullshit, Connor.” she insisted, keeping her gaze steady as she sat down beside him. “I worry about you. I won’t leave until you tell me what’s wrong.”

Maria squirmed, trying not to giggle at feeling the marker going across her neck. When he finished, she looked into the mirror and flushed. “C-Connor!” She yelped, putting her hand over the writing.

“What a nice little sound, I think I’ll bite there again.” [SHOT]

“I only made it because you surprised me.” She defended, dropping her book in her lap. Mary always prided herself on composure, and the shrill shriek from the sudden graze of her neck caused her cheeks to redden. “But I wouldn’t reject another…”

"Dark Cravings" (for hound--of--justice)

Maria had been caught off guard when Connor had suddenly grabbed her by the hand and dragged her away somewhere. She was even more surprised when she found herself in the dark and against a wall. A yelp could be heard as lips pressed against her neck.

“C-Connor!” She whined, shivering against the wall.

“W-What are you doing?”
