His name’s Jackson, and he as red and black collar.”

*drabble request* kiara and yifan on their first official date.

Yifan was a wreck. Internally of course, there was no way he was going to let her see that. He’d never live it down. Licking his lips, Yifan gripped the menu in his hand a little tighter. He was used to atmospheres likes this. The fancy aura of it all meant nothing to him. However, the company was causing him to become nervous and antsy. She was beautiful, perfect, and here he was acting like a mess. “Uh…wine,’ he choked, motioning for the waiter to come back towards their table. He dropped his hand to rub the back of his neck. she was smiling and it was then he was sure she knew how nervous he was.

"Relax.”

It was simple for her to say that. He wasn’t sure, but his nerves were all over the place. He hadn’t felt like this in centuries. The last time he did he was about to kill his first vampire and well, it was adrenaline then, not nerves. "I’m trying.” He mumbled, lowering his head to his hands as he rested his elbows on the table. “You make nervous and how are you not nervous right now?” The lycan felt stupid. He was rambling. He never rambled. He never ever rambled. How could she sit here and just….sit here? “I’m making a fool of myself aren’t I?”

Yifan lowered his head until his mouth was near Kiara’s ear. His night had been pleasant so far and only became more enjoyable when Kiara agreed to dance with him. It wasn’t that he stalked her, but he did remain close by her through out the night in case things became overwhelming. With music playing softly through the room and others dancing around them, Yifan glanced up briefly before speaking. “I don’t think I’ve told you, but you look beautiful.” his voice felt thick, the compliment almost getting stuck. He cleared his throat. The hand that was on her waist pulled her closer until not even air could get between them. It was possessive on his part, but he was always able to show how he felt rather than speak it. “Thank you for coming.”
