It stretches from the Black Mountains in the far east, surrounds the Golden and the Inner Seas, and extends to the shores of Entrege (the continent's westernmost mainland). The flag of Mìdlant symbolizes the legendary unification of two kingdoms into a great empire. The black rectangles with the letters "G" represent the Gradàrìen (Griffins) family, and the scarlet ones with the letters "L" represent the Lànorìen (Lioners) dynasty. The cross evokes the important position of gold in the Midlantic culture (Arantèl literally means "Golden Country").
