Have you heard of the casting of Alaqua Cox as ECHO in Hawkeye Series? Do you have any thoughts?

Just looked this up... MCU casting a deaf Native actress to play a deaf Native character? Holy shit, talk about meeting the bar for once!

That said, Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye sucks and I’ve always considered Kate to be the blandest Young Avenger (sue me). So I honestly had no intentions of watching the show. Now I might have to acquire it at some point. (Or in the very least, I’ll see if I can just watch all her scenes.)

Okay, but who do you prefer? Ceren and Engin or Pırıl and Engin? Because I love Engin and Ceren!

Tbh i don’t know how I feel about that whole love triangle yet. I’m kind of indifferent towards Pırıl, she’s too wishy washy to me especially when it comes to Eda, one day she’s nice to her, the next she’s not. I just can’t place her. Her and Engin were cute in episode 5, tho. And I like how Engin is always trying to help her be less about the work and more easy-going and relaxed and sensitive.

When Ceren was first introduced to the mix, I leaned more towards her and Engin, but then they kept mentioning that they were only friends, so then I gave up on them, but now it looks like Ceren maybe falling for Engin so I just don’t know!!

I think I like Engin with Pırıl, but Ceren with Engin...if that makes any sense lol

That show that you said you wanted to watch? You should definitely watch it! It’s called Sen Çal Kapimi and it’s so good and funny and angsty! It’s literally the fake dating/fiancé thing brought to life and the actors have such chemistry and are so charming! Watch it!

my friend is turkish and i told her once that i wanted to watch more turkish shows and when i saw gifs earlier, i immediately messaged her like ‘i can tell this is turkish - should i watch’ and she just screamed back at me, so i definitely have to find it and watch the hell out of it

This is really intersting, and something that I have never thought about... I have a question tho? Who was the actress that got less films and awards than J-Law? Like who are you comparing her too?

there was an old post i made where, after seeing us by jordan peele, i was comparing the success of j-law to lupita n’yongo and how it took extreme (remember, it made billions) success of black panther for directors to realize she could be taken seriously, despite being in block busters like 12 years a slave before. it took j-law being recognized in her first hit film to get 2-3 roles a year, playing mystique, white-washed katniss, etc. im not at all saying dakota is the same or responsible cus she was only a child doing her love for acting and she’s still pretty inspirational to me tbh. even now. but im just pointing out the clear discrepancies. i think saniyya has so much potential to be just like her and it makes me so sad i’ve barely heard news about her after fast color and the passage. it breaks my heart honestly. she was cast in an upcoming williams’ sisters biopic so hopefully, that can catapult her for more work in the future. im talking voice acting. films. maybe games. all of that. she reminds me so much of my baby cousin and i just wanna see her trailblaze :((((
