How Do ATM Works?
Working on an ATM is a process that we're all familiar with: find an ATM, insert your card, enter your PIN, decide how much money you want, and in just a few seconds you have cash in hand.
The automated teller machine is simply a data terminal with two input and four output devices. These devices are interfaced with the processor. All the ATM machines based on a centralized database system. In order to understand how an ATM machine works, the whole process is here:
1. The ATM has to connect and communicate with the server.
2. The host processor is communicating with the internet ISP.
3. It is the gateway through all the ATM networks available to the cardholder.
4. When a cardholder wants to do an ATM transaction, the user provides information through card reader and keypad.
5. The ATM forwards this information to the host processor.
6. It enters the transaction request to the cardholder bank.
7. If the cardholder requests the cash, the host processor takes the cash from the cardholder account.
8. Once the funds are transferred from the customer account to the host processor bank account, the processor sends approval code to the ATM and the machine to dispense the cash.
9. The ATM network is fully based on a centralized database environment. This will make life easier and secure cash
