“Patient confidentiality, R, you know I’m good for it” Her voice was soft as she inspected the injured hand, gently spreading the discolored fingers. “Ice for the swellin, tape up some digits to keep it set since we both know settin you up with a splint is pointless since you’ll just yank it off. Low key brakin bones, huh?” Tala finally looked up, giving him a slow-growing smirk, “Was it worth it, hon?”
“Aaaactually,” Between the tears in his eyes, a natural reaction to the abuse of the joints, and his muttered ouch!-es, he somehow works in a retort. “Not really. It was stupid.” Still, he said it while matching her grin.
“You ever squeeze your hand into something it barely fit in the first place, but then realize you can’t get back out? It’s like physics decides, “yo, I’m changing on you, babe, and you just have to roll with it” all of a sudden. I was reaching between the grates at the Getaway, cuz I dropped some supplies between there accidentally, and so... Anyway I had this ring on, and I really did not want to lose it... I tugged, and I threw a fit, and I smoked a joint, I tried to unscrew the damn thing, but it was just not giving. Soooo...” Wiggles hand in question, bursting out with a sheepish laugh. “I gave that grate one hell of a stern talking to after, that’s for sure.”
