Individuals who have made their own unique mark on downtown Manhattan, specifically the streets directly surrounding Sabah HQ. This is Maria Cornejo, founder of @zeromcornejo wearing the new Bleecker Street Baba. When we think of downtown NYC fashion, Maria Cornejo is one of the first people to come to mind. Maria has been in the neighborhood since 1998, when she transformed a raw industrial space into the Zero + Maria Cornejo atelier and started making garments using up-cycled materials. Maria has prioritized sustainability and ethics in fashion from the very beginning, before most were thinking and talking about it. She is a true pioneer and industry leader. We love seeing her, and her team, on Bleecker Street on our way into the office, a definite inspiration to Sabah, and an example of longevity in values, vision and business.
