he’s spent so long flirting with you in the only way he knows possible, which includes spending quality time with you, compliments that you can’t even tell are compliments, and just being the best friend he can for you because he cares for you so much
and when he finally pouted and went ‘screw-it!’ and decided to ask you out with (so much) enthusiasm, he couldn’t believe his luck when you nodded and said ‘yes’
scorpius has heart-eyes for the rest of his life
even if you said no he would be a little sad but still be ur friend and happy for you bc he just wants the best for you even if it’s not with him
but anyway, he wants everything to go perfect today because you’re such a wonderful person, and he just feels like you deserve the world!
the good thing is that you both have been friends first bc we all know how scorpius gets with strangers yikes
as you both walk around hogsmeade there’s an easy conversation that settles over the two of you
it might be a little awkward at first, because scorpius overcompensates for his anxiety by being over the top and more smiley and cheerful
but after a while his nerves settle down
and scorpius just can’t believe he can finally hold your hand
and it’s just like normal but better :’)
with you being able to spend time with your favorite boy and laughing and smiling because he’s just so SOFT and sweet and funny mayb a lil dork too but that’s okay u luv him
and so later when you press your lips to his cheek in a ‘bye thanks for the date’ type of gesture he blushes so bad
and ofc he retaliates by doing the only thing he does best

you playfully punch his arm and call him a dork
and you both spend the rest of the day throwing snowballs at each other and laughing when the other bumps into someone or falls bc y’all are clumsy clumsy
and then you finish off the day by sneaking into the hogwarts kitchens and sipping hot cocoa
and maybe you brought a blanket
and maybe you shared it with scorpius as you both sat on the kitchen stools next to the fire place (´ ∀ ` *)
and maybe the smile he gave you made your heart go !!! WOOSH
