Being that you guys aren't "living" do you have to eat at all? Does reaping have anything to do with it?

“Anthony, do you need to eat...? Like to live?”
“ME ALWAYS HUNGRY? BUT ME GO VERY LONG TIME WITHOUT EATING SOMETIMES!!! DID I DO GOOD CELLY? DO I GET QUESTION RIGHT?”
“There you have it-- and no, I don’t eat any of the souls I reap, neither does Doc. I think uhhh, eating has to do with how Anthony reaps, but not any of us....”
