I think you said mimics can sense each other. What does it feel like? Or is it a sense like a 6th sense so you wouldn't be able to explain it in human terms?

It's more an instinct that gets triggered the second any other mimic is nearby! Difficult to explain in human terms unfortunately 😅 but the chapter in Mimicry where the deer appears at Cesar's house is a pretty good overview of how it feels/occurs

can mimics have their own distinct personalities? obviously m!cesar and deer are different but we can assume thats because of his weird identity issues. whats like the extent of it for normal mimics?

They sort of all have the same prey drive and manner of thinking about the world. How mimic!Cesar thought and spoke in the very beginning of Mimicry? Yeah, pretty much all like that personality-wise. But some do have their own quirks and things they focus on more than others. I'd say they have personalities in the same way animals have personalities - not as complex as humans but definitely distinct and unique when you look at them closely. Ones that have been around on earth for a very long time also tend to have more noticeable personalities than those that are newer - like Witness and Nobody/Daniel.

You mentioned at some point that during Mimicry, the mimic's true voice went from being mean to Mark to being mean to himself. Can the humans (or anyone other than the mimic itself) "hear" that? That'd make things later a bit more interesting. M!Cesars true voice with be saying stuff like "Mark doesn’t love me :,(" and Mark will be like "Why is it using the scary voice to whine about things now?" 😕

I'd describe it as less Mark hearing the voice as anything solid and coherent as it isn't being directed at him, and more that he can pick up on some intense emotions/thoughts that don't belong to him. True voices are a bit weird and hard to define in human terms, but the general gist is that they can't usually be understood/heard except when a mimic is sharing them with a specified target or victim!

I think in Mimicry, it said mimics can only hurt people if they're the most afraid they can be. What would happen if they tried to hurt someone when they weren't the most afraid they can be? Like if the deer attacked Mark in chapter 3, what would happen?

Good ask! This has updated a little and will be appearing more in depth in Part 6. Essentially, if a mimic attacks a human/animal when they aren't the most afraid of it they could be, the mimic doesn't get as fulfilling of a meal (because the victim didn't give off maximum amounts of fear), and the mimic can't assimilate and take the victim's identity as its own.

If the deer had attacked Mark in chapter 3 of Part 1, it would've been able to hurt him but it would've taken an excessive amount of effort to kill him. If it had managed to kill him, the amount of energy spent wouldn't be regained much by the fear it'd consume and it then wouldn't be able to assimilate and steal Mark's skin.

Not their POVs exactly, but they will be prominently featured in Lucifer's POV parts :)
