HTP CHAPTER 5.3 THOUGHTS AND SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!

I like that we get to see Door's thought process like we have for D in previous audio logs. They're actually pretty similar in the sense that both Door and D are constantly accessing and reducing things around them. I feel D is more open to possibility and chance. Like he takes gambles and risks if he feels comfortable enough to do so (like when he's talking to Officer Chapman). Whereas Door works in absolutes most of the time. It also makes sense why his brain and way of speaking is so aggressively over-efficent. Big D puts a lot of responsibility on him as the eldest child to keep everyone else in check. He's also a US veteran, so him being militaristic in his approach definitely adds to that.

Blair and Palmer cameo was pretty funny. I guess Ross isn't there because Ross and Door meeting would probably have some kind of immediate confrontation.

Francis Customer Service was a really fun villain. I love his heel turn. I love his freaky transformation into a burger monster. I like that he is a guy who has allowed himself to be eaten from the inside out and allows his autonomy and own body to be overtaken by something else because it's easier, more efficient, and brings him joy. Its a narrative opposite to the central theme of the video is taking risks and making hard decisions and assessments. Francis doesn't have to assess anything because he can see in the dark perfectly fine and his body is not his own.

I liked seeing more Boy and Door interactions.

Door... wife voice reveal also? The surprising part is that she doesn't have an American accent given how devoutly patriotic Door is.

It was really funny for Door at the beginning to immediately get his worse fears about Marckus getting into shit immediately being realized.

I also like seeing all the flies and evil sound effects that I think is symbolic for the Wyrm? I'm not actually super invested WOD lore at the moment, but thats what I've seen everyone point out in the live chat. I like that it's mostly present when Door is doubting his abilities to protect his son and by proxy Boy's ability to protect himself. I like that it all becomes silenced when Door is able to lock in like how Big D was doing it for Amanda and Kitten in the last chapter log.

I'd love to get the Marckus anti-homonculus treatment. I'd love getting dunked in a bath of garlic <3.

European Door is a crazy way to end the episode.
