Review of huangjisoo's Pure Daily Foaming Cleanser in Anti-Pollution
huangjisoo is a Korean brand that believes in the power of nature, with a motto that states “nature has the power to create beauty.“ Their Pure Daily Foaming Cleanser in Anti-aging/Pollution has a small, ultra-fine bubble that neutralizes the harmful effects of fine dust and harmful substances inside the pores due to urban pollution. It is a purifying cleansing foam that absorbs dust and opens the skin to be discharged without irritation. Key ingredients include omija (schisandra chinensis) fruit extract (anti-inflammatory, anti-aging, skin repairing, protects skin, anti-irritation), garlic bulb extract (anti-acne, anti-aging, anti-wrinkle, soothing), lavender extract (healing, detoxifying, skin toning, anti-inflammatory, anti-redness) and licorice root extract (skin brightening, fades blemishes, soothing, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant). The foam cleanser comes in 180 ml (6.3 oz) and comes in a sturdy plastic bottle.
It comes with a very nice pump and it doesn't really have a noticeable scent.
The pump dispenses the foam and it's very lightweight.
It really doesn't foam up more but it does blend out and is great to cleanse skin free of makeup. It doesn't remove makeup from the skin very well on its own.
The cleanser is very light and it has kind of a drying feeling on the skin, it's probably not ideal for dry skin as it doesn't really add any moisture to the skin.
Recommended use is to take an appropriate amount and massage it thoroughly throughout the face and neck and rinse off with fresh water. After using, comparing this to other foam cleansers, this cleanser dispenses as a foam and actually had a kind of weightless thin consistency and it doesn't really lather up too much and while it does cleanse the skin it doesn't remove makeup very effectively so it's best to use a cleansing cream or oil before using the cleansing foam. It's not especially moisturizing so this may be good for people with oily, combination or normal skin types. I wouldn't suggest this for people with dry skin or to use as a makeup remover.
What I like: I think the lightweight feeling and lack of fragrance is really nice. I think this type of cleanser is good for oily or normal skin. The ingredients are also quite nice. What I don't like: this is really not good for dry skin as it doesn't really provide a lot of moisture and it's not particularly effective to remove makeup on its own.
