okay hear me out. What if, WHAT IF after they find away to bring cas back from the empty they aren’t sure if it worked. and the camera just zooms in on dean’s face as it fades from waiting and hopeful to heartbroken and for a few moments it just hangs in that tragedy and loss but then from off screen we hear, cas, usually gruff but now oh so tender, say “hello dean” and the camera just stays on dean’s face as he turns around and a smile spreads across his face. and then fade to black

We finally got to the actual midpoint of this story, a lot of important stuff happens this chapter, and I know you guys have been waiting for it, so I hope it’s everything you were hoping for <3 (Also, the title will finally make sense!!!) Summary: It’s been ten years since the Apocalypse. Ten years without talking, without knowing one another. Cas has a company to handle and a wedding to plan, Dean has a broken marriage and a decision to make. They have separate lives, lovers and families of their own, they aren’t supposed to meet again, to mess it all up.
And yet they do, when they least expect it, and maybe when they most need it. A story about second chances, about hope and resilience, and a love that feels both doomed and inevitable.

What would your perfect day be like?
i wake up at exactly the time i set my alarm; no, my alarm doesn’t even go off. i wake up before it happens. i lay in the sun that’s coming through my window and pet my cat for a while. i make a really good breakfast for myself; oatmeal and fruit and toast with jelly and tea. i go for a walk in my favorite puffy coat in the woods and look at the lake for a while. i spend the afternoon writing my stories and reading a well-worn book. it’s quiet and no one bothers me. at night, i make a complicated but familiar dinner and cuddle with my husband and our cat. i go to bed early and fall asleep without any racing thoughts, anxiety, or worries.
