The incredibly vague direction and repeated references to "bioware magic" make it sound like they've been in big trouble for longer than we thought. It's really sad news and I hope they can get a jolt of real direction so they can rely on better than "it'll just work somehow."

Yeah, the worst was when they said Anthem’s team used to feel good but the ones suffering were the MEA guys. We were all so excited waiting for the game and we put so much hope into it but those people were not having a fun time at all making it. It’s kind of... yeah, okay. No game or story, even the ones I love the most, are worth this kind of pain at work. 

But yeah, same. Hope there is a good reflection about their working methods so this “Bioware magic” thing can stop.

star wars, obviously

technically that’s two words 😝 

i actually didn’t see star wars until i was 12. like i had somehow completely missed anything related to star wars growing up.

i was born the year RotJ came out (my fave) and star wars fever kind of died down, and there just wasn’t much of it to see. until i saw ANH on tv one night.

during the battle of yavin i was literally on the edge of my seat. like, perched, on the hard wood edge of the couch frame, wondering if they were going to succeed because how could they win against such horrible odds

it was 6 months until i saw the rest, when my parents gave me the trilogy on vhs for my birthday. 

i threw a slumber party.

no one else wanted to watch star wars

we watched other movies we’d rented from i think it was a Hollywood Video down the street (which was great because you could rent a movie for one night for 99c unlike the Blockbuster on the other side of the street where you could rent a movie for three dollars for five days. didn’t want to blow three bucks when we were going to watch the movie that night and could easily return in the next day. that’s silly. we were so sad when Hollywood Video closed) (it may not have been a Hollywood Video -- my memory is telling me the sign is wrong but i can’t remember and I know it started with an H)

but then when everybody else started fading out, i put on the entire star wars trilogy and watched it until dawn. i gasped in shock at “no, i am your father.” i cried when luke removed vader’s mask. i was HOOKED.

i think i was asleep when everybody got picked up by their parents.

like just "I didn't like her at first but now I do" would be better. I wasn't sure I liked her for a while but I never felt like I needed to call her a gendered insult to prove it.

oh my god yes! i couldn't really explain it well last night but that's the gist of it

you can be critical of her or believe she vastly improved compared to how she was introduced without calling her that. and if you use the word to mean “badass” or “has issues but still likeable”, like "hell yeah she's a bitch and that's why i love her!" well there is a difference between someone calling themselves a bad ass bitch, friends & family jokingly saying they can be a real bitch, britney spears telling them that they better work bitch, and players online systematically calling female characters like miranda a bitch. it's... not the same at all. and when the word bitch is constantly used in “positive” miranda posts it’s probably a good thing to stop and think “okay but do we have to?” and the answer is no. we really don’t

its plausible. he might have actually cared for her and her wellbeing instead of using her as a tool like mirandas father. so he sent her off to andromeda when the reaper threat became more serious

I gotta be honest, when I think about TIM and caring my mind goes "does not compute" lol But maybe! I mean, if she truly is his daughter, I hope he wasn’t entirely unaffected by her existence. And he would have found a way to send her to Andromeda for sure!

this is dark, but what if Jack was meant as a dry-run at making Cora more powerful?

I totally thought you meant Jack Harper so I was a bit “uh” at this until I understood and yes very dark. I mean, we can argue timelines and wonder if it is really possible but I believe at some point Cerberus did a lot of space magic and they could have tried to make a powerful biotic even more powerful, in an effort to make her better than say, asari. I’m trying to picture the full consequences of this, for Jack but also Cora if she ever learns this. She would be devastated.

what if they just haven't managed to kill Tann off yet, either in a farcical series of near misses, or because he's not enough of an impediment to merit removal

This is kinda funny Like every day Tann has a 99,9% chance to die because EVERYONE and EVERYTHING is out to get him but for some reason he keeps surviving????

I would be so annoyed if I was the Benefactor :D

But isn’t it amazing that Jack overcame so much to get to this position of leader and protector in ME3? Talk about an inspiration! I’m so glad we got to witness her character development
