Circle Of Danger (1951)
"I'm afraid you'll have to forgive me - sometimes I'm frightfully dense, utterly stupid. Very sad thing."
"Is that so? I'm trying to find out how he was killed. Is that clear?"
"Oh, I see. I was wrong then. Pity. Smoke?"
"What do you mean you were wrong?"
"Instead of how, I thought you were going to say who by."

British Heroes: Lobby Card of 'The Saint Meets the Tiger' 1943. This is the 2nd and final appearance of Hugh Sinclair as the Saint. I like this film, a very cheap 'B' movie made in Britain but it does have a certain charm. The female role of 'Pat' played by Jean Gillie steals the show but, Hugh is funny, as he does play the role as the languid upper-upper ... middle-class Englishman, who drifts through the world effortlessly with that rather off-hand - "I'm-so-polite-but-ever-so-slightly-superior" attitude of the time, brilliantly.
