Ya'know, it's a whole lot easier to say "oh, I'm straight. Just not interested in dating. I'm waiting for my mental health to improve a bit before I get a boyfriend or anything..." instead of "well, I've recently come to the conclusion that I'm demi-bi-romantic, but mostly straight, and also grey-ace, and kinda want a friends with benefits type relationship, but all the benefits are snuggles and cuddles and fluff. Also, enbys are included. I just want a person to give me cuddles and hugs. And I'm lonely. Like honestly I just want to sit in someone's lap and have them play with my hair and I'll do the same for them."
