Wayne shuts the door quietly. Hopefully the boys are asleep. They've had a rough couple of weeks and sleep has been few and far between. He takes his boots off and hangs his coat up. He walks to the kitchen, eyes not quite adjusted to the dark, but knowing the path after treading it a thousand times (unless Eddie leaves something in his path again). He grabs a mug and gets some water. Something to quench his thirst before he makes breakfast and goes to bed. He pauses, mug halfway to his mouth, when he sees the lumps on the couch.
Wayne sighs, sets the mug down, and heads towards the couch. "Y'all need to get to bed," he mumbles under his breath.
Getting closer reveals Eddie and Steve slumped together. Steve is underneath Eddie, arm dragging the floor, with some of Eddie's hair covering his face. Wayne reaches over the back of the couch and grabs an afghan to cover them. A whole lot it'll do since they've slept like that all night, but Wayne wants them to know they're taken care of.
For the last couple of months, Eddie and Steve had been going over finances like nobody's business. They want to move out of Hawkins in the new year and begin their lives. The last bit directly came from Eddie and Wayne tried his best not to snort. They were full of young bravado when they started talking about their plans.
And Wayne is proud of them.
He first learned about their relationship when Eddie was trying to sneak Steve out of his bedroom window. Eddie accidentally dropped the window on Steve's fingers when he saw Wayne. They ended up having a conversation together as Wayne checked on Steve.
Since then he's watched their relationship grow, from the early puppy love days, to first fights, and to Steve moving in with them after his parents kicked him out. They're turning into fine young men, even if now and then they still do stupid shit that makes Wayne sigh and roll his eyes.
He's had several one on one conversations with them both about if they feel ready to move out. Fears about making enough money, being 'too much,' for the other, or what to do if they do break up.
Wayne knows they've got this. They've thought about this more than he ever did when he left his parents' house. Plus, he'll support them in any way he can.
Someday he'll get to visit their shoebox of an apartment and see how they've turned it into a home. He'll meet their new friends and the joy on both their faces as they introduce their Uncle Wayne.
For now, he sets a pot down on the stove and grabs the oatmeal canister. He makes sure to set out brown sugar for Steve and Miss Esther's strawberry jam for Eddie.

Steve loves Eddie. Sometimes he can't quite believe that they're together. It took him a month to ask Eddie out and they almost didn't go on a date because Eddie just stared at him for a minute before he blurted out yes. Eddie's been a great boyfriend, but there's one thing Steve has struggled with.
Corroded Coffin.
Steve knows how important Eddie's bandmates are to him. That's one of the first things he brought up on their first date. Eddie talked about them becoming friends, Gareth joining the band, and how they hope someday they can make it out of Hawkins. Steve knows how important friends are. Realizing that your friends are assholes who you don't want to be around gives a person a greater appreciation of making friends. Which is why for the past month he's been worried about what he'll say to them.
He's seen them a couple of times when he drops the kids off for Hellfire and given a head nod and 'hey' after attending one of their gigs. But he's never had a full-fledged conversation with any of them. Gareth, at least makes sense, he was a baby freshman when Steve was a senior. Jeff and Les were only a grade behind so he must of had at least one class with them.
Eddie told him he had nothing to worry about. The guys were sure to love him because Eddie loved him. It's a sweet sentiment, but not something that Steve is going to keep his hopes up about it. He's decided that he'll get to know each of them one on one. Surely, then they'll see that he's a good boyfriend and perfect for Eddie.
—
Steve decides to call Jeff first. He seems to be the most open to Steve hanging out with them.
"Hello?"
"Hey, is this Jeff? It's Steve."
"Uh, Steve? Eddie isn't here," Jeff replies.
"I know," Steve bounces his knee. "I thought we could hang out sometime. I want to get to know you better."
"Really?" Jeff's confusion comes across clearly and part of Steve is kicking himself for not having the conversation in person.
"Yeah. You can come over to my house or I can go to yours. Or, we can go somewhere else?" He sounds desperate and in a way he is. He wants to be a good boyfriend, damnit.
"You can probably come over to my house. Does Saturday at two work?"
Steve lets out a heavy exhale. "Sure. I'll see you then."
Steve is anxious when he gets to Jeff's house. The front lawn has roses bushes under the windows and there's an abandoned trike and bike. When Jeff answers the door, he hears little kid screams.
"Don't worry that's just my siblings." He nods towards the back of the house. "They've been competitive shits all day and I need a break from being referee."
Jeff guides him to the garage, where amongst all the outdoor toys, folding chairs, and a space where presumably a car would go, is a small card table with paints, a magnify glass on a stand, lamp, and little pieces, that upon further inspection, might be people.
Steve sits down on one of the metal folding chairs. "What's this?"
Jeff sits down and begins pouring some paint into a little palette. "You've seen our game table when you pick up Dustin, Lucas, and Mike right?"
Steve nods.
"These are mini figs. They're the characters and creatures that we use to represent us."
"Why do you have to paint them?"
Jeff picks one up and hands it to Steve. It's a man wielding a hammer.
"You can buy them pre-done, but people like to customize. It makes character design more fun."
"Do you paint all of them for Hellfire?"
Jeff shakes his head. "Nah, Eddie does it for most of his that he uses for our campaigns so it doesn't spoil anything. Except sometimes he gets behind so I help."
Steve watches as Jeff mixes paints and picks out a brush. It's slow, methodical work and Steve doesn't think he would be cut out for it. He occasionally asks Jeff questions, but for the most part keeps quiet. The only time Jeff gets up is because his siblings stop shouting.
He returns with a shrug. "It's when they're quiet that you know they're doing something they shouldn't."
Steve thinks about Dustin and The Party with Dart and is glad that Jeff's siblings can't get into any trouble like that.
A few hours later, Steve is sore from sitting in the metal chair and trying his best not to grimace.
Jeff looks up from his work, eye large in the magnified lens. "Oh shit, I guess that's not really comfy is it?"
Steve huffs a laugh. "Not really."
"Sorry, dude. I got so in the zone I forgot you were there."
Steve stands up and shakes his legs out. "I could have said something." He didn't really want to though. The last couple of years have been hectic and just sitting for a couple of hours and not expected to do anything is quite the relief.
Jeff stands. "Next time you come over, we should do something that's a little more active."
Steve smiles. There's going to be a next time.
—
After nailing it with Jeff, Steve's more confident when he calls Les. Les easily accepts and Steve heads over the following Friday. He's confidence falters when an older woman answers the door.
"Uh, hi? Les invited me over."
The woman's face lights up. "Ulysses your friend is here!"
Steve hears quick footsteps and then Les appears down the hallway.
"Thanks, Grandma," Les says as he jerks his head forward, "Follow me," he tells Steve.
They walk back the way Les came and enter his bedroom. It reminds Steve of Eddie's a little. Band posters cover the wall and there's a bookcase heaving under the weight of the books strategically shelved there. It's not as messy though, or maybe Les tried to tidy up before Steve arrived. He flops down on the bed, hands running over a handmade quilt.
"So, Ulysses?" Steve says.
"Ugh," Les groans. "It's a family name. Did you know that people used to looooove naming their kids after presidents? My grandma is really the only one who calls me that anymore." He sends a pointed look to Steve.
"Got it." Steve replies. He watches as Les moves around the room. Les grabs an album, cat eyes staring back at Steve, as he puts the record on. Tinkly music starts to play and then trumpets join in.
Steve does his best to suppress a grimace. "What's this?"
Les smiles and then lights a joint. As he exhales he hands the joint to Steve. He happily takes it. "It's a musical. Cats. The guys don't really like this kind of stuff."
Steve's knowledge of musicals starts and ends with The Sound of Music. He doesn't even remember much, just some happy, bouncy songs and thinking Julie Andrews looked pretty. He takes another hit before handing the joint back to Les. Hopefully, this one isn't too bad.
Steve doesn't know if it's his high or the musical itself, but it's odd. Firstly, everyone seems to be cats and the names are just long enough he can't keep track of everyone. Les seems to be having a good time though. He sings most of the songs and it's been interesting to hear him. Usually he sings backup for the band. His voice is nice, a smooth tenor, that occasionally breaks out into giggles.
Les gets up to switch records. "Hey, do you want to stay for dinner? My grandma is making meatloaf."
His high is starting to wear off and his stomach growls. "Sure."
—
Scheduling Gareth's one-on-one was easy. Gareth had invited Steve over himself. Clearly Jeff and Les had filled him in and he decided to take the first step. Steve hopes that means good things. He rings the doorbell. Gareth opens the door.
"Hey, thanks for inviting me over man," Steve says as he steps inside.
Gareth scoffs. "You've already talked to Les and Jeff. Clearly I was the last person on your little list."
Steve grimaces. It wasn't like he was hiding what he was doing, but he thought he was a little more subtle. Gareth leads him to the kitchen where ingredients are all lined up on the counter.
"What are we doing?" Steve asks.
Gareth picks up a spoon. "Making cookies."
Steve relaxes, he can do this. He grabs an apron off a hook and ignores Gareth's smirk.
"What do you want me to do?"
Gareth hands the spoon to him. "Measure out the dry ingredients. The sugar goes in one bowl and the rest goes in the other."
He takes the spoon and follows along with the recipe. It's quiet, minus the whir of the stand mixer, and there's something amusing about the fact that all the guys seem to like to the quiet. Steve doesn't think it's a tactic to freak him out.
He and Gareth actually work well together. Whenever Steve hands over a utensil or the next ingredient, Gareth's brows furrow for a second before accepting. When Gareth speeds up the mixer too soon and flour goes everywhere, Steve laughs and helps wipe the counter. It isn't until the cookies are in the oven that Gareth leans on the counter and gives Steve an assessing look.
"Jeff, Les, and I have talked about what you're doing."
Steve sits on a dining room chair and grips his hands on his thighs.
"When Jeff first told us that you wanted to hang out with him we didn't believe him. We know you love Eddie, you can't hide that from us."
Steve smiles.
"But, we just assumed you would hang around us enough to keep the peace." Gareth pauses and looks at Steve expectantly.
"You're right, I do want to keep the peace," Steve begins, "but I also know how important you all are to Eddie. I know we don't have to be friends, but I think we should be friendly. I've had friendships fail and I didn't want you all to think I would come between you and Eddie. I want to be a good boyfriend."
Gareth's face softens. "We know you're a good boyfriend. Even before all this 'getting to know you' shit. If you weren't good do you think we'd let you stay?" The timer beeps and Gareth quickly opens the over door to peek through. He grabs an oven mitt and brings the sheet tray out and sets it on the stovetop. "Now, stop worrying about your boyfriend's friends and eat a fucking cookie."
—
Steve laughs over the sound of Gareth's Bugs Bunny impression. They're in the kitchen, ostensively to make lunch, but the pasta reached done a long time ago, and the sandwiches are half made. Jeff and Les are grabbing dishes down, playful bumping into each other as they sing along to the radio.
None of them notice Eddie until he clears his throat. They all stop and stare at him.
"It sounds like you're all having fun."
Steve sidles up to Eddie and kisses his cheek. "Yeah. I like when the guys come over."
Eddie wraps his arm around Steve. "Is this what happens when you use the ol' Harrington charm? My friends suddenly ditch me for my boyfriend?"
Steve rolls his eyes. "As if I didn't have to work for it. You're friends have high standards. I'm surprised you passed the test."
Eddie lets Steve go and dramatically flings himself onto the barstool. "Well, go on then. Have fun while I waste away over here."
The guys all laugh as they go back to their tasks. Steve leans over Eddie gives him a kiss. "As if you don't love having us all together," Steve says.
Eddie looks at Steve with the purest expression of love. "It's the best."

Steve lets out a long exhale and stares at the joint held between his fingers. He needs an ashtray. He looks at the coffee table. It's littered with junk: receipts, bills, dirty plates, half empty beer cans. There's a coin dish with change a good shove away from spilling over. At the far side of the table is a squat, lumpy bowl. It's tan, with splotches of blue, and a squiggly design wrapped around it.
It also has ash and several cigarette butts in it. Steve grabs it and sets it on the arm of the couch. He taps some ash into the bowl and perches the joint on the edge. Eddie's coming back soon and he needs to think about what they want for supper.
Before he can get up to investigate the cupboards; Eddie arrives, a wild grin on his face. He heads over to Steve and pulls him into a kiss. It's a nice one. Then again, all kisses with Eddie are nice ones.
Eddie tilts his head. "I see you've started without me."
Steve glances down at the joint. "Oh, it's another pain day."
He hasn't told Eddie much about the Upside Down, can't really, but Eddie knows enough that Steve's body is a little fucked up and sometimes needs something for the pain. It's how they got together after all. He picks the joint up and hands it to Eddie.
"Thanks, sweetheart," Eddie says. He bends down towards the joint and takes a puff. As he exhales, he digs into his jacket pocket and pulls out a pack of Camels. He grabs a cigarette and lights it.
"C'mon. What were you doing before I got here?"
"I was thinking about supper."
Eddie exhales, tapping the ash into the bowl. "Let's see what we've got left."
They manage to scrounge up some hot dogs and half a bag of potato chips. Steve watches the hot dogs boil in the pan. "Where did you get the bowl?"
Eddie picks it up and smiles. "I made it."
Steve looks at it again. It's still lumpy with blue splotches but he feels a warmth at the idea of Eddie making it. "Was it for Wayne?"
Eddie sets it down and scootches closer to Steve. "We were making pinch pots in art. I think I was seven? I wasn't that good to start with, but I think one of the other kids fucked with it before they put it in the kiln. Wayne didn't care. Glad I always planned to give it to him instead of my old man."
Eddie plucks the hot dogs and tucks them into slices of bread. Steve and Eddie head to the living room to eat. They watch reruns and when they're done eating, Steve snuggles up with Eddie.
Eddie lights another cigarette and holds it to Steve's mouth after he's had his turn. Steve stopped smoking after the first Upside Down incident. But between everything that happened at Starcourt and hanging out with Eddie, he'd started again.
"So, was the pinch pot always an ashtray or did that become a later thing?" Steve asks.
"A later thing," Eddie says as he angles his head away from Steve, blowing smoke. "I couldn't find a fucking ashtray and this was the first thing I found. Wayne didn't seem bothered, and honestly it's way easier to find."
Steve hums. Eddie and Wayne's relationship fascinates Steve. It probably has a lot to do with Steve thinking his dad's an asshole and the lack of any other familial role models.
Steve looks at the pinch pot again, in all its lumpy glory, and smiles.

Steve turns the volume down when he hears the front door shut. It's quickly followed by the thump, thump of Eddie's boots and the dull thud of Eddie's jacket puddling next to it. He watches as Eddie walks past the doorway, shirtless and trying to tug his pants down. He trips, but catches himself, and then the bathroom door shuts. The shower turns on and Steve turns his attention back to the baseball game.
It's the end of the inning when the shower turns off. Eddie comes into the living room wearing only boxers and carrying a pillow. He wordlessly heads over to Steve, kicks Steve's legs a part and plops the pillow down.
Steve grabs Eddie's hand and helps him to kneel down. He drops Eddie's hand and moves to cup Eddie's chin. "Are you ready? I'll have you down for a while, so let me know if anything hurts or if it's too long."
Eddie grins. "I'm ready, Steve."
Steve pushes his shorts down, Eddie helping him to fully take them off. He takes his dick out of his boxers and with his other hand, guides his dick into Eddie's mouth. Eddie's mouth is wet and warm, a cheek resting on Steve's thigh.
When Eddie first suggested this, he didn't know what to make of it. Mostly he was confused about the idea of a blowjob that wasn't a blowjob. He didn't know what Eddie would get out of it, or even if Eddie would stay still long enough before he got bored and turned it into a real blowjob.
Then they tried it and Steve understood. He watched as first, Eddie's mouth went slack, and then the rest of his body followed. His breathing slowed down and Steve was amazed. Eddie looked content and Steve couldn't believe that all it took was to let Eddie hold his dick in his mouth. Steve was worried about Eddie getting stiff so they didn't do it for long. After he knew Eddie was okay, he sucked his dick so good Eddie laid boneless on their bed for fifteen minutes.
They keep doing it, especially whenever Eddie needs to get out of his head. They have a system and it works, although they learned they couldn't do it during a basketball game. Eddie's bloody nose after Steve accidentally kneed him during a celebratory cheer killed that.
Steve watches the game, his hand absentmindedly trailing along Eddie's head, neck, and shoulders. He brushes a thumb along Eddie's cheek, feels where he can feel his own dick. Eddie's eyes are usually closed, but he has them partially open right now. He is blissed out and not fully tracking Steve's movements. He slowly works his jaw, making a slight adjustment that has Steve hissing. Eddie's eyes dart to Steve for a second, eyes moving back down after Steve lightly squeezes his neck. Drool leaks out of Eddie's mouth, dampening Steve's boxers.
He's trying to do the math of how long Eddie has been kneeling, but he keeps getting distracted thinking about pulling Eddie off of his cock, rearranging them, and then fucking his face. He decides he's been patient enough.
Steve gently pulls Eddie off, swiping at the drool smearing his chin. He hauls Eddie up onto the couch, pushing him down until he's level with Steve's dick again.
"You still good?" Steve asks.
Eddie nuzzles his face right above Steve's dick. "Yep," he replies, before taking Steve's dick back in his mouth.
Eddie's head bobs at a quick pace, using one hand to pin Steve down. The fantasy of fucking Eddie's face is quickly replaced by the reality of Eddie doing his best to have Steve come as fast as possible. Steve cups Eddie's head in the illusion of control. He pants and whimpers, and before he can warn Eddie, he's coming.
Eddie pulls out, a line of come dripping towards his chin. Steve pulls him up and kisses him. He tastes himself and when he pulls back, Eddie has a satisfied look on his face.
Steve needs to clean them up, but for now, he cuddles Eddie and watches the rest of the game.

Steve walks into the living room, giant plastic tub in hand. He drops it onto the floor with a thunk.
"What's that?" Gareth asks as he looks up from painting Eddie's nails.
"These," Steve says as he smacks the lid, "are photos from the band's first five years. The label wants you to pick out some photos for your fortieth anniversary."
Les laughs. "God, what a way to make us sound old Steve."
Steve rolls his eyes. "That means I'm calling myself old too."
Eddie stands up. "Lies! You look just as baby-faced as when we started!"
Steve playfully slaps Eddie's shoulder before giving him a kiss. "You just talked yesterday about the grey pubes you found."
"Hey," Jeff says from his spot on the floor, photos already in hand. "Do we want to attempt to look through these before we lose those two to each other?"
"Probably," Les replies.
The tub is filled to the brim with photos. The early ones are on polaroid, the newer ones from disposable cameras and the camera Steve ended up buying in the early '90s. There's several duplicates strewn throughout. Steve remembers trying his best to drop the film off on double print days. The negatives are probably in another box somewhere and a reminder that they really should organize better.
He picks up the nearest photo. It's the guys on stage in a dingy bar that could be from anywhere in the Midwest. The lighting is shit, the photo really just glares off their instruments. What he can see of their faces is pure joy. Steve tried to take a photo of the band at every concert, but sometimes he got caught up at the merch table, talking to the venue owners, or during the back half of the '89 tour, stayed at home because of his broken leg.
They all grab stacks of photos and start passing them around. It becomes a competition to see who can remember the city and year the fastest. As the person who took most of the photos, Steve is well in the lead, with Gareth coming in second. Steve makes a stack of photos that are blurry or clearly accidents so he can throw them away later.
"I forgot about this photo!" Jeff exclaims.
Steve looks up from his photo stack. Jeff holds a polaroid. The photo shows all of them together. Gareth is in the middle with Jeff and Les to his right and Eddie and Steve to his left. It was clearly taken after a gig, the CC boys drenched in sweat, all holding bottles of beer. Eddie has a cigarette in his right hand, the arm wrapped around Steve. Eddie's smile is the biggest. Under the photo someone wrote ' '88 baby!' Steve remembers it now. It was the last show from Corroded Coffin's first national tour. It's the only photo Steve took with them. He'd been on the road with them for two years, but with the increased public attention he'd pulled back, worried someone would find out about his and Eddie's relationship. No one ever did until Eddie came out, but he can still see the stress and worry on his face.
The guys wouldn't leave the venue until they took the photo. Said it wouldn't be a Corroded Coffin tour without at least one 'Steve' photo. Now, seeing it again after all these years, he's glad they took it.
"That one. We need that one for the anniversary," Eddie says.
The rest of the guys all agree and Steve takes it from Jeff and sets it on the pile.

Steve's heart pounds as he runs. Buttercup easily keeps pace. He thought running would tire her out, instead it's increased her stamina and meant his runs are longer too. Not that he minds on a day like today. It's warm for February and he wishes he would have worn a tank top instead of his t-shirt. He jogs in place while he waits for the WALK sign to appear, Buttercup sitting politely next to him. He should turn off his earbuds, he stopped listening to his podcast five minutes ago. He likes to use them as an excuse to not talk to people, so in they stay.
The WALK sign appears and Steve takes off at a brisk pace. Buttercup lets out a bark, happy to be running once more. They continue their run and Steve's mind drifts to his dinner with Robin last night. He loves her to death, would (and has) gone through hell with her, but he wished she'd stop trying to make him go on blind dates. Yes, he's a little lonely, but dates have started to feel like a chore. He wants to feel his heartbeat race, hands clammy, and the urge to just kiss them. He'll say something to her the next time they meet up.
As he and Buttercup round the corner he runs into someone. He stumbles and watches as the other person falls. "Hey, are you okay?" As he reaches out to help the person up, they lift their head.
The man is hot. Long, brown hair with frizzy waves, a septum piercing, and wearing a cut off tank and shorts that expose his pasty, skinny legs.
"Yeah," the man grabs Steve's hand and clambers back up. "I'm good. Is Noodles okay?"
Steve scrunched his forehead. "Noodles?"
Buttercup barks and Steve turns his head towards her. A small white dog sniffs around Buttercup. "Is this Noodles?"
The man picks up Noodles. Noodles wiggles around and licks him on the chin. "Yeah, Noodles is my uncle's dog."
Steve grins. "And what's your name?"
"Eddie." Noodles wiggles out of his grip and runs around him, leash wrapped around his legs.
"Were you headed somewhere?" Steve asks.
Eddie spins around to undo Noodle's leash. "Just a walk. My uncle got shoulder surgery so I've been in charge of dog walks. Noodles is an angel for my uncle and a little shit for me." He shrugs and grins in a 'what can you do' manner.

Eddie whistled as he walked through the open garage door.
”What’s got you so happy?” Jeff asked.
Eddie stopped when he reached Gareth’s drum kit. “You see, dear Jeffrey, I’m in love.” He finished his statement with a hand flourish.
The guys laughed. “Yeah, Eddie we know you've been in love with Steve for like, ever,” Gareth said.
”I’m pretty sure we have a certificate in ‘Steve Harrington facts’ by now,” Les added.
The guys laughed again and Eddie dramatically flopped onto the ratty couch. “Ha ha, Eddie talks too much about Steve. Jokes on you because Steve finally said yes to a date.”
It was quiet for a moment. Eddie glanced around and saw the guys all looked surprised. They then erupted into shouts of joy and slapped Eddie on the shoulders and arms.
”Wait, he finally said yes?” Jeff asked.
Eddie had been trying to get a date with Steve for almost a year. Sure, in high school Eddie wouldn’t have even attempted such a thing. There was no way that Steve liked guys, much less Eddie. It wasn’t until he and CC moved to Indy and stumbled upon Steve and Robin at a gay bar that he realized he might have a shot. It jump started Eddie’s pursuit, and his friends haven’t known peace since. Steve was receptive to Eddie’s flirting, and even doing his fair share in return. However, every time Eddie got the nerve to ask Steve the very important question, something would happen. The phone would ring, Steve forgot he had to be somewhere, a friend would drag either of them away, or most notably, Eddie got a beer spilled on him.
”We didn’t think it was ever going to happen!” Gareth crowed.
“Oh ye of little faith. You don’t understand, Steve couldn’t possibly ignore my allure.” Eddie batted his eyelashes and grinned.
”More like you’re a barnacle that latches itself and doesn’t leave,” Les joked.
”Do you even know where you’re going to take him?” Jeff asked.
Eddie paused. Heat flushed his cheeks. “Uh, I actually hadn’t thought that far ahead.”
”You’ve had almost a year and you haven’t come up with anything?” Les teased.
Eddie sat up straight and bounced his knee. “A date must be chosen based on the weather, what the company is like, and the space in one's coffers.”
”You forgot to think that far ahead didn’t you?” Gareth said.
Eddie hung his head. “Yes. Is that what you want me to say? You don’t have to really wine and dine a man when all you want to do is suck their dick in the alley.”
Jeff bumped Eddie’s shoulder. “Hey, come on, between the three of us we’ve gone on a handful of dates. I’m sure we can come up with something.”
—
Steve parked the bimmer. Eddie asked him to swing by after his shift if he wanted to see the band practice. He got out and shut the car door. He didn’t hear anything, but they might be on break. A perfect time for Steve to swing by really, sometimes loud music gave him a headache.
”No, no! Where do you think he would like that!” Eddie screeched.
Steve smiled. He could always pick Eddie in a crowd. It never took long for him to stand out. Robin would say that’s just because he was head over heels for Eddie. He thought Robin was too busy staring at her own crush to notice anyone else. Steve headed to the garage where he saw the guys crammed on a well-worn couch with Eddie pacing the space.
”Whatcha, doing? I thought you were supposed to be practicing?”
Eddie stopped and turned towards Steve, face red. “Uh, um…” Eddie stammered.
”We’ve been trying to help him plan your date, but he keeps shooting down every option.” Les said.
”Because you all have horrible ideas. I can’t believe you all have managed to have second dates.”
Steve grabbed Eddie, placed his hands on Eddie’s shoulders, and looked him dead on. “No matter what we do I’m sure I’ll like it.” He felt Eddie relax. “Although, if you do a really good job, I might give you a reward.” Steve waggled his eyebrows, and slapped Eddie’s shoulders. He turned toward Gareth, Les, and Jeff. “Good luck. I’m sure whatever your suggestions were, they're fine.” He headed back to his car. He heard Eddie groan and he was only sixty percent sure he calmed Eddie down. But it was true, Steve would like the date, because it was Eddie. He’d have to call Robin so they could plan his date prep.

The door slams shut and Eddie looks up from his book. Steve has one hand on the wall, the other untying his shoe. Eddie's eyes move from Steve's foot and travel up hairy, toned legs; knobbly knees; and the beginning of strong thighs until it stops at the hem of his short shorts.
When Eddie and Steve moved in together, he knew that Steve ran most mornings. Steve had made several off-hand comments about it, usually when he mentioned having to get up earlier to meet Lucas at the park near his house. What he hadn't known, was the outfit Steve wore with it.
Of course, he snuck peeks of Steve back in high school, any queer guy with a thing for jocks would have. It's just, Steve has lost the ganglyness of teenhood and replaced it with the filled out bulk of manhood. The shorts used to be pretty loose and now they're tight enough he wonders how Steve's dick and balls don't pop out. That might be the real reason he runs so early.
He could get up and get on his knees for Steve. Yank his shorts down and swallow his dick. Nose pressed up against sweaty pubic hair and face feeling the heat from his thighs. Or maybe he buries his face into Steve's ass. Lick the sweat from his crack and make him wet from Eddie's spit.
What happens, is while Eddie daydreams, Steve walks over and places a kiss to Eddie's cheek. He straddles Eddie's lap, tugs their pants down enough to grab their dicks, and jacks them off. Eddie focuses in when Steve spits on their dicks to help with the glide. He brings his own hand into the mix and soon enough, their coming. Steve tips over into the couch and tries to shimmy off his shorts one-handed. With a quick thrust up, the shorts come off.
