Au where
Shiro is a fae who helps others with their emotions and how to control them. An empath fae if you will. The only way you can tell a empath fae from a human is that they always have a patch of hair or even skin is some case that change colour based on their own emotions or those who's emotions get to them. In shiro's case it's his white patch of hair. The only reason no one has caught him is because he has learned and trained himself to always be in a state of calm. "Patience yeld focus" the only person who can so much as get shiro so emotional that it changes colour? The one and only deeply emotional and passionate Keith kogane. who can not only make shiro's cheeks grow pink, but get his hair to too. ;)
Shiro first meets Keith in what Keith would call a bad place in his life. Full of hurt, anger and desperation. With no one to go to for help and no place to call his own, shiro offers him a place to stay till he gets back up on his feet so to speak. Wile living together shiro tries his best to help Keith with his emotional turmoil and teach him how to calm himself. "Remember, patience yelds focus." Unfortunately or fortunately, Keith discovers shiro's a empath fae by asking him out on a date complete with roses and what shiro will say as the most adorable expression he has ever seen. Which is what causes a full body blush. And a very pink hair floof that was white a few seconds ago. This leads to a few confessions and a promise from Keith that he would never tell anyone even if shiro rejects him. He still wants to be friends. (But shiro would never reject him, not when his human crush just confessed to him)
