or the pink bunnies perhaps?  but anyway i woke up the other day and ordered a 12 string guitar... kind of a stereotype. the old guy with a 12 string.... but anyway... btw the extra solar INTelliGENCES that put me here have rewarded me by adding some color variety to the food pellets i receive- ever since i ordered the 12 string. so THEY must be pleased (i guess) now i get some yellow, or green and even a lovely rose shade mixed in with the usual sort of tawny brown bits and i find that rather pleasant... btw 2 the INTELLigences say that it is ok for me to tell u guys that since  no one will believe me anyway....

can i just rattle on a little more about the "lobotomy" post?

this is kinda out of order-u might want to read "notes for @katzmammal" post first but anyway

we performed "operation for tennesee williams" one nite at the teahouse in flagsraff. 2 groups of us. on each side of the stage

it went on a bit LONG-kinda died down and came back couple of times... afterward the woman who played Viola with us told me that she found it Rather disturbing to do...

she said it made her want to laugh And it made her want to scream at the same time....

as a composer i call THAT a sucess.... happy monday

5/29/20---6/29/20 still a guitar player, anyway

so i ordered a busking amp-recargeable battery power- from a guitar shop in germny on may 29th. on june 2nd it was at the frankfurt airport "ready for export"

about 2 weeks later the package was STILL at the airport. i emailed the shop and wrote "i*m starting to worry" can u help?

they sent back "don*t worry we will see what we can do "

the next day i got email from the shipping co. (dhl) "the package is being returned to the original sender" emailed the folks in germany said "what*s going on?" no reply

then i got message that the package was received by original sender (from DHL) another email to the store in germany-no reply. couple days later i sent "you have the package back-just refund money bck to my credit card thanks. the next day got email saying they refunded my money-with no other expanation...

so AFTER all of THAT i tracked down a different busking amp-aroma AG-40 at lark in the morning in california and ordered that one. took 3 days to get here and i used it last night. works fine thank you. gonna host outdoor songwriters nite once a week in front of a local cafe. gonna be fun.

can i just rattle on a little?

thanks. so yesterday i was trying to say something about depth of field relating to the sound world. all that leads to THIS i come from the world of the quartet-everybody on the same plane-in the same space. like the beatles on TV or the kronos quartet etc etc. so i can hear depth of field in donika rudi*s music but that is very challenging to imagine doing. if we show up for the string quartet show and find the viola in the balcony on the right side and the 2nd violin at the back of the hall on the left-YIKES (also imagine growing up in the string quartet tradition and being asked to perform “together” under those circumstances another yikes i find myself tending more and more towards a kind of picasso line drawing sort of thing-just figure w/o much ground at all. would like to get the kind of weight one finds in franz kline but that*s another story so the next post is a marx “selfie” wish u could hear the notes while reading the words-multi-media y*know?

kinda ranting...

for @t-underneaththeradardancing they kinda moved the goalposts... recording used to be so hard. a reel to reel machine is like an english motorcycle-lots and lots of work just to keep one running and tape itself... vey iz mir and compressors- to record to tape u gotta compress like mad and old style compressors were cranky beasts most days and the early days of stomp-box compressors? pretty bad i know cuz i had several oh well nowadays making audio pretty easy (all the young folks can now say  “ok boomer”...) but really. it really is great, mostly noiseless, very few moving parts i could go on and on... BUT these daze “audio” is WORTHLESS alas the only thing that counts is FILES... the last time i burned a cd for someone was over a year ago AND the last time i saw that guy he was still gonna take it to work where there was a cd player he could listen to it on.....someday. i have 3 different ways to turn audio into files and i hate all of them oh well   (happy monday)
