Imagine waking up one dey and you get a call from your child you never existed. That's what happened to Derek a few years ago.... his daughter @jessicalreid87 called him out the blue to connect to a father she never met. They not only reunited but they have gone on to start a nonprofit organization called @feetforfeat .....when I think of my absence from my daughters life....which by all accounts was my own doing. I can't imagine not being told of my child's existence.....so much years where lost for them due to nothing but self centred ness of one individual.....Derek I feel your pain and no one can blame you for being bitter/upset....but you and Jessica have chosen to create a pathway for other parents who are forced to be away from their children thru #FeetForFeat .....your story was written in the cosmos.....it's been said....who God bless, no one can curse....you both are a living testament to this....I am supremely bless to know you both and I wish you all the blessings in the world....thank you both for believing in the power of love that redeems. The best moment wasn't when McCoy cheered us on or seeing Coach Tony Dungy (Hey!) or seeing some people I know or the people cheering for us (icing in the cake), or Lynch told us "Good Job." (Although I almost fainted cause that is on of my FAVORITE players.) or seeing Derek Brooks and Warren Sapp. The best moment wasn't even at the stadium to be honest. It was actually this morning when a 6 year old kissed my cheek and said, "Mommy, I'm proud of you.
