First cousins Patricia Outlaw Roberts and Bessie Outlaw Holman visited my mom Laquita Bell Neill today and brought some of my mom's wedding pictures they had found. My parents were married in 1956 at the First Presbyterian Church in Belzoni and the wedding reception was at the Outlaw family home at Silver City in Humphreys County. They reminisced about a lot of things from when they were growing up and remembered how the wedding cake from Madole's Bakery in Greenwood fell apart going down Lampkin Road in Humphreys County and had to be put back together and redone in the kitchen before the wedding.
