Após dois meses na Amazônia com a etnia Huni Kuin, filmando um documentário sobre sua cultura, o projeto necessita de fundos para a montagem e finalização do filme. Após um longo processo de resgate de suas raízes e ancestralidade, de relembrar a cultura uma vez proibida e censurada, seu povo entra finalmente em tempos melhores, o tempo do direito do índio. Então em harmonia com a natureza, iniciam suas viagens ao redor do mundo levando seu conh ecimento, cultura e espiritualidade da floresta, iniciam seus festivais onde a aldeia recebe não-índios e um grande ápice cultural. O filme foi feito para ser um curta e acabou se tornando algo maior, com muitas entrevistas de líderes espirituais, pajés, feitio de medicinas da floresta, cerimônias e práticas de cura. Então agora, em co-produção com Marcos Vinicius Romão - co-organizador do Festival Eskawatã Kayawai, e Ninawa Pai da Mata - líder espiritual da aldeia Novo Futuro, precisamos de fundos para terminar este filme, compartilhar esta história e levar essa cura pelo mundo.
After two months in Amazon with the Huni Kuin people filming a documentary about their culture, the project needs your support for its completion. After a long process of rediscovering their roots and ancestrality, remembering their culture once forbidden and censored, the Huni Kuin finally enters a new era, the time of the indigenous right. In harmony with nature, they began sharing their healing culture around the world with their knowledge, culture and spirituality from the forest, their own cultural festivals where they gather the indigenous with the non indigenous, creating a great cultural apex. The idea of this project was to make a short film that eventually became something much larger than once imagined, a feature film, having many interviews with spiritual leaders and shamans, participating of ceremonies and cure practices with the forest medicines. So now, in co-production with Marcos Vinicius Romão (Co-Organizer of the Festival Eskawatã Kayawai) and Ninawa Pai da Mata (Spiritual leader of Novo Futuro Village) we have a feature film in hands and we need funds to finish this film with all professionals involved, so we can share their story and bring their healing power around the world.
O povo Huni Kuin, que vive nas densas florestas do estado do Acre, após sua história de sofrimento e escravidão, agora vive em uma época de grande ebulição cultural. Desde a propagação de suas curas, seu trabalho com as medicinas da floresta, seu conhecimento ancestral, o artesanato refinado e uma riquíssima produção musical. O filme propõe trazer um recorte desse despertar indígena, desses novos tempos que se apresentam ao povo Huni Kuin, de valorizar sua cultura e seu conhecimento.
The Huni Kuin, who live in the dense forests of the state of Acre, after a great history of suffering and slavery, now live in a time of great cultural boiling. From the spread of his cures, his work with the medicines of the forest, his ancestral knowledge, complex and refined crafts to a rich musical production. The film proposes to bring a clipping of this indigenous awakening, of these new times that present themselves to the Huni Kuin, of valuing their culture and their knowledge.
Em meio aos tempos materialistas de uma civilização que tem tanta dificuldade em enxergar a alma humana, focada na produção e consumo de bens, fica evidente a importância do retorno às raízes, de relembrar a harmonia das culturas antigas com o planeta, com as florestas e seus espíritos. Buscando este resgate, este projeto teve origem em vinte dias de gravação audiovisual na comunidade do Novo Futuro, no alto do rio Humaitá, durante o festival Eskawata Kayawai de 2017. Evento que reuniu mais de 200 indígenas de várias aldeias da mesma etnia grupo, pajés e txanás - cantores e cerca de quarenta não-índios. Diversas festividades, canções, feitios de nixi-pae, ayahuasca, ritos de passagem, acompanhados de entrevistas com vários pajés e líderes trazendo suas canções e explicando mais sobre sua história, o mundo espiritual e a vida na aldeia.
Amid the materialistic times of a civilization practically incapable of seeing the human soul, focused on the production and consumption of goods, it is evident the importance of returning to the roots, of learning from the oldest cultures life harmony with the planet, with forests and with the spirits. Seeking this rescue, this project originated from twenty days of audiovisual recording in the village of Novo Futuro, on the upper Humaitá River, during the Eskawata Kayawai festival of 2017. Event that brought together more than 200 indigenous people from several villages of the same ethnic group, pajés and txanás - singers and about forty non-Indians. Several festivities, different songs, the preparation of snuff medicines, nixi-pae, ayahuasca, rites of passage, accompanied by interviews with several shamans and leaders were brought in, bringing their songs and explaining more about medicines, the spiritual world and life in the village.
