A couple of silly dragons visiting each other at the shore! I drew the water dragon all by themself at first, but then started thinking about why they were laughing, and that’s where the other dragon came from.
Weird dog.
Trying something out. I randomly generated a palette of five colors and a Pokemon, and smashed them together in a drawing. Thought it’d be interesting.
My first try was to use a mostly green palette to draw Yanma.
1st Picture: Eevee/Buizel hybrid and Vaporeon/Floatzel hybrid.
2nd Picture: Eevee/Blitzle hybrid and Jolteon/Zebstrika hybrid.
3rd Picture: Eevee/Darumaka hybrid and Flareon/Darmanitan hybrid.
4th Picture: Eevee/Munna hybrid and Espeon/Musharna hybrid.
5th Picture: Eevee/Poochyena hybrid and Umbreon/Mightyena hybrid.
6th Picture: Eevee/Skiddo hybrid and Leafeon/Gogoat hybrid.
7th Picture: Eevee/Cubchoo hybrid and Glaceon/Beartic hybrid.
8th Picture: Eevee/Snubbull hybrid and Sylveon/Granbull hybrid.
What if Pokemon hybrids existed from cross species breeding?
I’ve always wanted to create some Pokemon hybrids using compatible egg groups. I ended up starting with Eevee hybrids. For these hybrids I only used Pokemon from Eevee’s egg group as the father, which is “Field”. I restricted my candidates further by only using Pokemon that had the same amount of evolution stages as Eevee (two stages), so Pokemon like Torchic (three stages) and Dunsparce (one stage) were out. I did this to neatly match up the different species’ stages.
My head canon is that due to Eevee’s unstable, easily influenced genetic makeup, if the father is of a type that Eevee normally evolves into, then the hybrid child can only evolve into an eeveelution hybrid of that type (e.g. Buizel/Floatzel father is a Water-type, so the Eevee hybrid child can only evolve into a Vaporeon hybrid). Or at least is highly likely to do so. I wanted to demonstrate that with my art, so I restricted myself further by choosing Pokemon with one type, so no Houndour/Houndoom (Dark/Fire). I’m definitely considering exploring dual-type fathers later though. In general, I head canon that Pokemon hybrids who have fathers that more closely match their mother’s typing will have better health and an easier time evolving. Maybe some hybrids won’t be able to evolve at all. That’d be interesting. My favorite out of these is the Eevee/Skiddo and Leafeon/Gogoat.
Least favorite is Eevee/Cubchoo because I don’t like Cubchoo very much. Snot-nosed bear. Ew.
May or may not write up interesting flavor text for each hybrid later, but that’s it for now!
Blah. Blah. Blah.
Created art based on a randomly generated prompt.
The prompt for this was “baby’s mobile”. So we have a mobile of automobiles and mobile phones.
Automobiles aren’t really my strong suit, but I think these turned out just fine. I think the fact that they were toy/plush cars made it less intimidating. Background is a little lackluster, but I’m happy I even have one. I have a habit of avoiding backgrounds. Went out of my comfort zone a little for this one.
