“Because you’re lit from the front?  Is this some kind of creep Gothamite thing?  Do all of you just sit around trying to think of dramatic ways to say goodbye?”  He was used to people saying goodbye.  He didn’t need the drama, per se, but whatever made people feel better.  Dismissive  -- that was his go to.  

“Should I be watching that shadow for anything suspicious? Another set of ears maybe?”

if you go around saying roy is bad at sex ollie is going to have to have a talk with him and he really doesn’t want that

“That should do it.” He said, finishing off the sutures neatly, clipping the extra thread and setting the curved needle aside to clean the wound with alcohol.  “I’ll put a bandage on, but you’ll have to keep up with cleaning and re-dressing it.”  Which would be difficult to do on her own -- but there was something else that had been gnawing at him ever since Helena showed up . . . something that sunk in the pit of his stomach. 

Helena was Dinah’s partner.  If Helena was here, in this rough of shape -- then . . . He glanced at her, didn’t voice his concern (for now) and instead lightly covered the wound with the sterile bandage, taping the edges down.  “Got it.  Don’t pull your stitches.  Do you want me to -- do you want me to let Oracle know you’re here?  That you’re OK?”  Or, if Oracle was out of commission too, then he’d know there were serious problems for the Birds of Prey . . .
