The Commonwealth was filled with groups that took a great bit of pleasure in fear mongering the populace. The Institute just so happened to be one of the groups that was all too good at it, killing and replacing people with spies. It was almost comical, just how strange and horrifying each and every action was. Jochebed couldn’t even begin to figure out what they stood to gain from it all, she supposed it didn’t matter because no matter what excuse they rattled off it wouldn’t be okay in her book.

She also did some much needed side work to help keep ammo in their pockets and food in their bellies when scavenging wasn’t enough, an act that could have gotten her killed if she was back at the Nucleus.
“If you like, I could repair that for you. Just a couple caps,” if she had known that she was speaking to one of the boogeymen of the wastes she would have turned on her heels and ran for the hills. But she didn’t know, in fact, he didn’t even know himself.
