It’s crazy that people, especially people on tumblr think that ammonite is bad, and worse than Portrait of a lady on fire. They are both equally boring, but at least ammonite has a clearly autistic lead who is super repressed... I am 100%  confident if this exact character was a man, and was having amazing, earth shatteringly good sex with some depressed white twink, the fanart and fanfiction of the pairing would be inescapable!
