My husband is really struggling right now with his job. He's really lucky to make good money and work from home, but recently they've been so short staffed on his team that it's no longer a good situation for him. He's over stressed and burned out and making himself physically ill (like wakes up and throws up almost every day, talking antacid for his stomach).
He just doesn't know what to do. He works doing cyber security tech support, and doesn't know if he wants to do it any more or go back to being a SysAdmin or desktop support. He's worried about changing what he's doing, and worried about not making "enough" money. I've told him before... We'll be okay, even if it means tightening the belt a little bit on certain things. I keep reassuring him that he doesn't have to do it anymore if it's making him sick.
He's someone who tends to keep everything in, and I've been trying to encourage him to go see a therapist. I even talked to MY therapist who recommended someone in her office for him, but he's not quite there yet.
I just want to be as supportive as I can, but it still sucks. I want him to feel better and am worried about him.
He's taking a few days off from work to figure out what he's going to do next. He turns 37 on Sunday. We go on vacation later this month. Hopefully he can have something lined up to start in September.
