Watched the 1986 film last night and the Huskettes already reminded me of Crystal, Ronnette, and Chiffon before that but then I had the motivation to make this right after soooo

Angel doesn’t know that Husk still owns the casino. Alastor forbade Husk to mention anything about the casino, about the power he still holds.

Angel thinks the casino used to belong to Husk and has a new boss. The staff only refers to Husk as boss to patrons and other employees that never met him. (One of the Huskettes is mainly running the casino in Husks absence)

While Angel is away he still goes to the casino. It’s the one of the few places he can get a drink and not be bothered by strangers.

One night he comes in and finds out the boss is actually here. Angel never met the guy but heard nothing but good things about him.

Husk comes in once every two weeks to check on everything and more often then not the Huskettes convince him to perform something. Today Husk is on stage with one of the girls.

Angel recognizes his voice.

„HUSK?!“ (parallel to Husk seeing Angel)

„Oh yeah- you know the boss. I forgot.“ (The Huskettes did in fact not forget that)

Now we have the reverse of Husk looking at Angel in Drag. Husk is dressed in a very nice suit singing and dancing with a pretty lady and Angel wants to be that Huskette so bad.

Husk does approach him but not from the side like Angel did but from behind the bar.

„Hey loser~“

Husk is still dressed nicer than usual, he just got rid of the suit jacket.

„You still own this place?“

„Alastor doesn’t like me talking about it.“

They talk. Husk knows he can’t force Angel to come home but if the casino can be a safe space for Angel that’s all he can ask for. Before they have to part way Husk slides Angel a key.

„It’s for the penthouse upstairs. If you ever need a quiet place.“

They keep talking like this and Angel picks up why the employees (specifically the Huskettes) talk so highly of him. Angel hopes that maybe one day he can be part of this weird and loving family. Little does he know he already is.
