Combusting because Rotta and Grogu’s relationship is the best thing that could ever happen to both of them.
Grogu has been told over and over that everyone he knows and loves will die before him because of his long lifespan. His dad will die when he’s still very young, leaving him alone and depressed.
Rotta on the other hand is terrified of becoming like his father (or like his aunt/uncle). This is amplified by the fact that Jabba was highly prolific, so people automatically assume Rotta will be just like him. Rotta treasures little ones because when he was a young child himself he was abused, hated, and taken advantage of.
When Mando inevitably dies, Grogu still has an older brother that’s long-lived like him. He’ll have a caretaker who cherishes him without the inherent tragedy that comes with different lifespans. Meanwhile Rotta overcomes his trauma through raising this child kindly and proving that he can choose to be different than his family. They travel while they grow up together, save people, and spread kindness across the galaxy.
