Philips Sonicare HX9332/04 DiamondClean Rechargeable Toothbrush Review
Philips Sonicare HX9332/04 DiamondClean Rechargeable Toothbrush Review
A bright white smile with healthy teeth makes everyone seemingly that little bit more attractive, and we all want that glowing look of a healthy mouth. One way to achieve that look and feel is by using an electric toothbrush. Today we are going to take a look at the Philips Sonicare HX9332/04 DiamondClean Rechargeable Toothbrush, to see what it can do for us.
What Does The Sonicare DiamondClean Do?
This is a rechargeable electric toothbrush which is highly recommended by many dental professionals. It has five settings which allow the person using it to gradually switch over from a manual toothbrush to this power toothbrush without hurting their teeth or gums. It removes plaque in hard to reach places around your mouth, and helps your teeth become whiter in one week, providing you brush twice per day, as directed. It also improves gum health within two weeks of brushing.
Oral health is very importantand it contributes to your overall health too. It has been known by medical professionals for a long time, particularly in reference to gum disease and risk of heart attack or stroke. If you do have some gum disease you are more at risk of heart attack, and if you have severe gum disease, there is a significantly greater chance of suffering from stroke and heart disease. There is also a link between gum disease and diabetes, studies show that gum disease can make diabetes harder to keep under control.
With all the things that the Philips Sonicare can do, you would imagine that it is pretty tough on your mouth, however, this is not the case. The 31,000 strokes per minute are gentle and caring to your mouth and gums.
Philips flair for innovation doesn’t stop at the toothbrush’s technology either. The amazing glass cup that comes with the toothbrush is actually a charging glass. Yes, your toothbrush charges as it sits in its glass. And it looks exceptionally modern doing it, too.
If you like to travel then you can keep your toothbrush with you using the travel case included. The travel case uses the integrated USB so you can charge up your toothbrush with your lap top computer. You may not need the travel case though, since the Sonicare DiamondClean can hold a three week charge. You need to leave it charging for twenty-four hours when you first get the toothbrush and after that it will keep going twice per day for three weeks. The battery is a lithium ion type, so it doesn’t have a problem with battery memory, when the battery depletes if it is not fully discharged.
The Cleaning Settings
The five settings are:
Clean – normal mode for cleaning your whole mouth.
White – this removes stains on the surface of your teeth to whiten them.
Polish – this setting brightens your teeth, polishing them to bring out the natural beauty of your teeth.
Gum care – this is a gentle setting to stimulate and massage your gums.
Sensitive – this is an extra gentle setting, particularly good for sensitive teeth.
You don’t have to think about whether you are brushing your teeth enough with the Philips Sonicare, because it has a Smartimer which stops after two minutes. Smartimer is very smart because if you turn your toothbrush off while you are brushing, the Smartimer stops timing and resumes when you do. So you can add some more toothpaste or rinse comfortably, knowing you have still brushed your teeth adequately. Of course, if you want to brush longer you can do that too.
Peace of Mind
The Sonicare DiamondClean toothbrush is guaranteed for two years, so you know you will be supported with Philips great customer service.
The Downside
Despite Philips attempts to make the perfect toothbrush, there are always things that can be improved on. Many customers feel it would be good if the heads could be marked so that every member of the family could have their own easily identifiable toothbrush head. You can get round this problem by adding a coloured rubber band to the toothbrush head.
Another improvement that Philips could make is to have a normal three prong plug on the British Sonicare DiamondClean. At the moment it comes with a two pronged plug and you need to get an adaptor.
