Hi, and happy Screenshot Saturday! Now that I've got your attention, let's mellow out a bit...
We're still working hard on applying clean up to areas, really putting the strawberries on the milkshake! This book animation's been in the oven for a while now, but thanks to the hard work of neitheror (whom you can find his work at @neitheror), we've got it in!
Why is there a book floating like that? Why is it so huge? WILL it force you into the summer reading program? I don't know... but one way to find out, right?
By... playing the game once it's out! Or by ACTUALLY joining the summer reading program! (You should do both, honestly!)

Hello! Happy Screenshot Saturday! This week I am getting EXCEPTIONALLY SILLY!
Here's a little first pass at an animation I'm working on for a cutscene! It's a little rough, but the most important part is blocking in how things are going to move, and the emotions! There's more work that needs to be done, sure... But at the very least, I'm pretty happy with how things are already coming along! It's been a little while since I've gotten the chance to do an animation, so it was a nice breath of fresh air for me to work on! :)
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH", the humble hyena says. She is fed up with life, so she must scream. If you knew what she was going through... Wouldn't you?

Happy Screenshot Sunday! This time, let's look at Graham's Harmonic Howl move!
Hello, thanks for your patience! Happy Screenshot Sunday! This time around, let's take a closer look into one of the bread and butter moves for Graham's moveset: Harmonic Howl!
Graham with his grooves is normally only able to buff himself... This can turn him into quite the speedster, tank, full-force attacker... Whatever you need him to be! However, about about spreading that love a little bit more? Well, that's what Harmonic Howl is for!
When shifted to the Moon sign, Graham's able to utilize Harmonic Howl, a move that specializes in copying over whatever buffs Graham currently has to any party member! It's an EXACT copy, so both the specific kinds of buffs AND duration on them carry over... But with the right timing, you'll be able to make sure everyone on your team's fully loaded with stat boosts!
This move's gone through a lot of reworks over time, but I think I'm finally happy with how it turned out! I hope it's as fun to use in battle as it was to think up!

We're back, baby! Happy Screenshot Saturday!
Phew... it's good to finally be back!
Hi! It's been a bit of a hot minute, right? Thank you for your patience with me! After taking a break after releasing Meri's Cafe (which you can check out for free at https://majimjam.itch.io/meris-cafe), getting a new job with more hours, and university starting up again, I've been preoccupied with a lot! Thankfully though, my life's stable enough again where I'd like to try and begin posting again!
Right now, we're filling in the back half of Chapter 1! During my break I realized there were parts of the game that weren't super satisfying both in terms of the narrative and gameplay, so I took some time to rework things! Now that the reworks are set on, I'm working with the team to make them! I wanna make the best game I can, so that DOES mean sometimes you need to take a step back and rehash something out to help it shine!
That means working on the environments! This little statue's set in the plaza of West Hyades, and is meant to commemorate the workers that hail from there... West Hyades is the most populated part of the city, and there's a lot of people from there doing lots of different jobs all over the city... So even if a lot of it is thankless work, at least they've got this nice statue! Right?

Happy Screenshot Saturday! New year, new posts, new enemies for HYADES!
Hello, happy Screenshot Saturday, and Happy New Year! This time for HYADES, we've got some new enemies!
Ahh, it feels like forever since I've gotten to show battle stuff... In the last few months I've been working for a ton of non-battle stuff, so it's good to be back!
These two in particular were a fun part to strategize around? Flax is on the left, and doesn't have much of a punch nor can take one... but IS extraordinarily good at not only getting the party's attention, but being hard to hit! Concord on the other hand, can absolutely deal out blows and will take advantage of the situation to wail on anyone who's got a sign disadvantage!
Because I had spent so long from the battle system, I'd actually forgotten what it was like to play through under normal game play circumstances... And it was fun! I found myself getting distracted from testing what I needed to by testing my mettle against enemies like these, I'd missed that feeling.
But of course, dear reader... You must have questions! Some of which may include, but not be limited to:
-Who are these guys? -Why do they have synchronized outfits? -Can I get one for myself? -How would Marsh look in one?
Well, answers to these questions (may) be answered... But play the demo first so you know what's going on! It's free, on browser and download for Windows, Mac, and Linux... There's nothing stopping you, it's only about an hour anyway! (And if you try it, giving us a rating/comment would help a ton!)

Hello, and happy Screenshot Saturday! This time for HYADES, I've been working on a fast travel system with being able to take a taxi!
This is an idea I've had brewing in my head for a while now... I like how it's turning out! For a game like HYADES that revolves around The Big City, you've gotta have SOME sort of commute... If not only for the aesthetic, it's just convenient too!
And so, littered throughout HYADES are these taxi stations! Once you make it to a new district, pop on by and Reese'll come by and see if you can take you anywhere you've been for a small price... He'll even talk about the place you're traveling to and fill in some extra details about the world you may not have known!
While of course you can fully walk to where you need, and I recommend taking in the sights, sounds, and sidewalks... Here's hoping that this makes life easier for players!
While the taxi is closed thanks to the Downtown Excavation Memorial Observance (D.E.M.O. for short), the demo of HYADES is open and available today! Check it out today on browser and download! Of course, rating the game and leaving a comment helps a ton!
